On Saturday 13th October, Weybrook Park hosted an amazing charity golf day in aid of Weybrook member Ed Kemp's son Matthew Kemp and his special school Saxon Wood.
The turnout was absolutely brilliant with a strong 98 field of players, embarking on the individual stableford competition.
Having had over 25 individuals, companies supporting the competition with prize donations, an incredible array of prizes (main prize, raffle and silent auction) was on offer.
... With the competitors in, the overall winners of the day were Josh Holland (42 points) and Debbie Burrell (33 points). рҹ‘Ҹрҹ‘Ҹ
When the day was done, with all monies collected, the charity day is looking at raising over рҹ’·ВЈ7,000рҹ’· for the Saxon Wood Association charity. рҹҳІ
An amazing day was had by all and we would like to thank all of those involved in the day, the staff at Weybrook Park, the supporters, donators, players and we wish every success for the future to Saxon Wood and look forward to seeing how the money makes the difference for the children at the school. рҹ‘Қ

It's Tuesday and we see how the Weybrook Park teams have got on in their respective competitions.
Mens Saturday saw us travel to Sandford Springs to play for not only the вҖң339 TrophyвҖқ which we have played for a number of years but also a brand new вҖңAnthony DillonвҖқ trophy in memory of our friend who had been the pro at both clubs. Following a great breakfast we started off in the usual sunshine which scorched down on us for the whole round. The first match didnвҖҷt start well, ...losing holes 1, 2, 3 & 4. Luckily a half with a sandy par stopped the rot and we won the next 4. The back 9 was to and fro, eventually finishing all square on the 18th. This was our only half point but we did manage 2 wins through Cliff & Adam and Paul & Kit. Unfortunately we also lost the other 3 matches so lost overall 3.5 to 2.5.
Thanks to the team for their continued support. If there is anyone who would like to play this Sunday at Donnington Grove we still have one place. Contact Colin if you are interested.
To find out more about these and other competitions as well as the overall results, please visit the links below.
We wish all teams continued success in their respective competitions through the coming season.
Don't forget to visit us here at Teams Tuesday each week to see how the Weybrook Teams are getting on.

Thank you Ashleigh, Mat and all the bar staff for such a memorable Wedding Party on the 15th August 2015. The food was lovely even with our special dietary needs. They also tried to help out our DJ (who we chose) with his music problem and help out with my mum's taxi problems at the end of the night, You all helped above and beyond your call of duty as they say and it's not "just a reception" the staff made it so welcoming and accommodated us all where possible.

Thank you all

Played the front 9 today which includes the 6 new holes. Steve & Lee wanted feedback so here goes:

3rd could do with a big pole behind the pin as a lot of drives will end up on the 8th fairway which leaves a blind second shot in

4th is simple enough

5th has too much rough and dodgy stuff to the right

6th is a great hole as is the 7th

8th is a tough hole. Are the blue stakes OOB? Overall they are good holes and given time will make the course a better one. My only real issue is that none of the new holes have any distance markers. Hopefully this will be addressed soon. PLEASE put markers on each side of the fairway on every hole (where necessary) for 100, 150 & 200 yards as a little disc somewhere on the fairway is not enough. The bigger hitters need the 200 yard markers, especially playing holes like 5 & 6 and not knowing what club to take from the tee. Good job though Weybrook вҳә

User

Myself and Loren would like to thank Weybrook park for a great engagement party.

The staff were amazing especially in dealing with a medical emergency we had on the night.

I played the course on the 30th Jan 2018, just after the snow and heavy rain.

I expected to be ankle deep in mud after the comments I heard from the previous year. Very pleasantly surprised, and happy for all the people that have worked hard to get the course into the condition it is now. There's still work to be done, but it's a new course, Great new layout, I hope to play it in a warmer climate when I again visit the UK. When I opened the course in 1997 we had teething troubles then. This will be a superb golf course when the overall project is complete.

User

I am new to playing golf. They have 3 Holes set out for beginners with chipping and putting greens as well as a grass driving range. The pro shop has great staff to help and advise you. They have a great welcoming club house to have a drink and some food. I have used the 3 holes again and again as in my case no Two shots are the same пҝҪ. I highly recommend Weybrook for new Golfers as ВЈ150 for a year with a free lesson for a newbie like me gives you the confidence to progress further with your game.

With the recent rainfall and sunshine the course is beginning to take shape nicely . The flowing stream is an added attraction and work is ongoing with that. The disease on some greens appears to be under control. A bit of TLC in some areas is needed. To summarise, things are going in the right direction, albeit not always the ball

Sunday lunch with the family at Weybrook golf club food was a lovely 3 course carvery, presented well and plenty off food

Staff members look after us well, and the food was a reasonable Price. The view across the golf course are fantastic and to play the course is a joy .

User

Came for a Sunday 3 course carvery - food was lovely, great roast potatoes!!

Service was slow and lacked experience; a 15+min wait for a starter and then a continued prompt for attention was frustrating.

User

Beautiful course , a good mix of the old and the new in terms of holes , deceivingly challenging course with lots of water. Rough is fair but the course is hilly if you have trouble getting about do consider this before starting your round.

User

We played the brook (?) course which is a nice 3 hole course. However, there is no score card, no hole signage to indicate if it's a par 3/4/5, no designated tee box or markers for white/yellow/red tee.

That aside, the three holes were well maintained and the greens were very good. ВЈ7 each for all day use is good value, but with some more attention to detail it could be really nice.

User

On arrival I was told only 17 holes available but "you can play the 6th again to make up your 18"

Very confusing as the yardage and hole markers on the tees do not align to the card. A lot of the greens were in a poor condition. It's a shame as I played here last February and it was great. Don't think I'll hurry back for a while.

User

Worst front 9 ever played. Very bland . No signature holes.

We ate after. Cheese cake for dessert. When we had finished they decided to bring the cream out. пҝҪ

Worst front 9 ever played. Very bland . No signature holes.

We ate after. Cheese cake for dessert. When we had finished they decided to bring the cream out. пҝҪ
