About Weymouth Harbour

Welcome to the official page of Weymouth Harbour! Providing useful sailing links, information on Visiting Vessels, Events, News and Improvements in and around Weymouth Harbour.

Weymouth Harbour Description

Fairway Position: Lat. 50° 36. 72’ N. Long. 02° 26’ W
Charts: 2172, 2255, 2268
Prevailing Winds: West /South-westerly

Weymouth Harbour is centrally located on the South Coast of England at the Heart of the Heritage Coast which is a World Natural Heritage site, offering a unique opportunity to view this if visiting the area by sea and making it an ideal place for visiting sailors to stop. Not only are the moorings in the centre of the town a short walk from all facilities, but its geographical position makes it an. . . ideal stop-over for international voyagers.

Situated at the heart of the old town it is the ideal sailing destination for you to moor and explore Weymouth, the Jurassic coastline and the neighbouring countryside, as well as providing a safe haven from the predominantly south westerly winds. Weymouth also enjoys one of the lowest tidal ranges in the UK, allowing for safe and easy access at all states of the tide and if you are looking to relocate your boat our permanent berthing is one of the cheapest around.
