A fantastic caravan site attached to the Wharf. The food is Excellent and staff are extremely efficient. It is run by two super people. Paul and Sharon. It is very busy and is of course on the Canal.
Just had a lovely weekend at the wharf tavern caravan site great position fantastic pub ,food, staff very friendly will be back in the new year, got to be honest toilets are clean but more showers are needed sorry .
Was a very pleasant pub good service & luvly food.
Plenty of mooring space on the ajacent canal, Juicy and delicious steaks cooked to absolute perfection, and a nice selection of ales and wines. Very swift service also. Highly recommended.
A brilliant restaurant with friendly helpful staff. Don't eat before you go the portions are huge! The location is beautiful right by the canal with plenty of outside seating . They also have a small caravan site but I haven't used these facilities. You do need to book in advance as they get very busy. I rang in august for Christmas lunch and they are already filly booked.
Good campsite, ideal for motorhomes. Great base for cycling. Love that after a days cycling you can go straight to the pub!
Great little site very close to the canal. Toilets OK not the best and defiantly not the worst I've seen. Can't give 5 stars as the shower block was across the road behind the pub.
All the 5 star reviews lead me to expect something pretty good, but disappointed. Possibly being a bit harsh at only 3 stars, since it's perfectly OK, really. Decent pub grub, and very generous helpings. Good canalside location, but inside's a bit lacking in character.

Excellent place with great support for special occasions. They need a few water jugs though. Good food and good knowledge of allergy needs.
My husband and I visited The Wharf Tavern for an evening meal. My husband ordered the T bone steak, which was cooked to perfection as requested with all the trimmings. I ordered the lasagne which was delicious. Both meals were presented in a visually pleasing way. Staff were friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble and the pub was very busy. Highly recommend a visit. We will certainly be back.
