Excellent stay here. Staff are very friendly. Food is excellent. Very accommodating. Hobbit houses are really warm and are fun to stay in
Good service. Nice environment. Road up to hotel is not for low profile motors. Slightly overpriced but would probably visit again. Sheep and cows etc walking about. Nice for walks onto moors
This hotel is great for the cabins and the location. The food is fairly simple but good. The people that run it are nice and friendly. This would be great for a walking holiday.
We arrived late stayed in the hobbit pod it was dirty smelly damp,bed was comfy good in hotel delicious I would not recommend staying in a pod.
Had a lovely ham, egg and chips for lunch alongwith my favourite hard to find cider, Cornish Orchard. Cracking value and great scenery on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
Attended a naming ceremony at the hotel. Good buffet type food (mini pasties, quiche, cake and scones). Tea and coffee were provided as part of the event so since I was driving I did not personally visit the bar. As a result I had no dealings with the staff so can not give my own view on the service. It has a children's soft play area to keep the little ones entertained. Set in a nice location with great views but this does mean the access road is a bit bumpy and better suited to an off road vehicle though I did manage perfectly fine in a family hatchback. Would consider visiting again for food.

Went there for mothers day. Staff were attentive and very nice. We had a roast which was served at our table. The roast was nice and the vegetables were fresh. Online there was an offer of a free drink and pudding for the mum's, this was not offered to us. We did not ask for the offer but felt it should have been offered. Overall rating I would give would be satisfactory.
