what a place, absolutely brilliant weekend out on motor bike trip in the lakes, could not have chosen a better place to stay. Food was superb, hospitality was great. Staff made the whole group feel really welcome. Rooms were warm, clean, fresh and plenty of space. Will be back again. Thanks

came for dinner after silloth carnival yeasterday me and my partner had the steak pie it was amazing propper home made food the sticky toffee and chocolate fudgecake was to die for!

We only popped in while we were passing for lunch. Very olde world and slightly old fashioned BUT wonderful service from the lovely friendly Chelsea and an absolutely lovely fresh tasty lunch. Best chips ever !! Hubby certainly enjoyed his steak and my home made chicken leek bacon pie was delicious. Definitely one we would recommend. �

We had a wonderful stay here.We was located in a apartment, very clean, and very spacious.

Dinner was great,also breakfast. I highly recommend.

We go to this place most weekends for a meal and for the friendly service and everyone is very welcoming don't take any notice of the bad reviews see for yourselfs

Very lovely and caring people I stayed here almost 45 days but never felt like I am away from my family as Mr. Joe and Mrs.Helen both are very co operative and caring. As a Indian we use to cook in the kitchen our own dishes and Mrs. Helen use to help as well.I cant forget those days.

This is a great place to stay staff and locals all very welcoming .Bus stops right outside to take you Wigton - they also have 5 CL spaces for caravans or motorhomes at very reasonable rates

The most homely and welcoming place,gorgeous home cooked food,real home made chips,all the staff are really helpful nothing is too much trouble,love the place.you can also stay there with a caravan or motor home...

Lovely family style hotel. Great welcome. Great food. Lovely surroundings.

The dinner at night was so good. Beautifully cooked and presented. Steaks were superb. Breakfast set you up for the day.

The rooms were a very good size and the beds very comfortable with a really warm duvet.

Definitely call again. Recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had my lunch here today was so nice wen i asked for my veg not to be cooked i got a plate of lovely raw carrots and turnip the beef was mmmmm lush , i will be going back , two course for £13.50 was worth it sticky toffee pudding with cream mmmm

Had a wonderful stay. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The meals we had were of a very high standard and so tasty. The beds were comfortable and i would highly recommend a stay here.

Great place real gem of a find when we were looking for somewhere to stop when going to a wedding nearby. Clean room ,comfy bed and fabulous breakfast. Thanks again.

Fantastic! Had a meal a couple of weeks ago and I’m gluten free.. they made sure everything was not contaminated and substituted everything that I couldn’t have.. best steak I’ve ever had! ���

Coming up to my wedding anniversary, had a fabulous time in zante and finished off with a wedding reception at wheyrigg, absolutely superb, the food was amazing, the atmosphere brilliant and the staff along with Joe and Helen was second to none, they did us proud, couldn't fault anything, nearly time to celebrate our second wedding anniversary at the wheyrigg, keep it up guys, you're brilliant x

Brill clean rooms food is 6 star always nice brekky dinner n tea showers could me more powerful but still wash you ok all in all nice 2 weeks I had there

5 of us ate here yesterday it was just as brilliant as the last time I was there. really can't fault the food or service even had room for my car and caravan in the spacious car park.
