Nettelfields BBQ charcoal is made onsite here at Strawberry Field using only wood from our own woodland that adjoins the field.

The woodland is coppiced every winter in a sustainable 14 year cycle and the regrowth protected from the pesky deer. Coppicing is great for bio-diversity and we have seen great improvements in the ground flora in just 2 years.

We live onsite and ever since buying the land we have been busily creating a productive, nature-rich, largely self-sufficient smallholding.
