Whirlybobs Pre-School

Whirlybobs is a small and friendly pre-school for children aged 2-5 years, based in Sticker. Our focus is on learning through play.

We are an independent, charity-run pre-school based in the heart of the local community of Sticker and the surrounding areas in St. Austell including St. Mewan, St. Stephen and Grampound with Creed.

We are proud of our traditional pre-school feel at Whirlybobs, and provide a friendly and nurturing environment with an emphasis on learning through play. The 1st Sticker Scout Hut offers fantastic outdoor space and our children enjoy plenty of fresh air and activities outside – whether it is wrapping up in a scarf and welly boots, or enjoying a picnic under a gazebo!

Whirlybobs follow the same Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum as schools, and lay good foundations for numbers and letters /sounds. Our pre-school activities provide a fun and stimulating environment for two to five year olds allowing every child to develop at their own pace, because we understand how individual each child is. We actively encourage independence so our children will feel confident and ready for transition to primary school.

Whirlybobs have close links with St Mewan Primary School and also feed other local schools including St Stephen Primary School and Grampound Primary School.
