Was recommend to go for a 30th Birthday party and we weren’t dissappinted.

Great service and welcome from the bar and floor staff and we had our own private area with champagne on the table!! Will defiantly be booking for future parties and events in here.

Staff are always extremely friendly and accommodating. The Espresso martini is to die for!! Such a lovely lovely venue in Durham. HIGHLY recommend.

So nice to go to a bar that makes proper cocktails!! There was six of us and we all choose different drinks and we all loved them! Staff went above and beyond even making a cocktail for one of the girls that wasn't on the menu!! Excellent place to meet friends with a fantastic atmosphere!! Will definitely be a returning customer!

Recommended to me as one of the most popular bars in Durham and i can see why!! It has everything you could want from a bar; whether you are day time drinking and looking for a little sun trap outside near the river, evening drinks or just a pit stop for a coffee walking the dogs (dogs are very welcome). Super good service and amazing cocktails (the cucumber and watermelon tonic is to die for by the way). I have recommended to all my friends and family and they love it too.

I don't usually review or comment on places that I've been to but I just had to say something about this place! Amazing cocktails, great music and fab atmosphere. Only meant to pop in for one and ended up sending most of our night here. Could not recommend this place more. We will definitely be back.

Favourite bar in Durham for a lush cold drink, always make top notch cocktails (especially anything citrus), and always willing to cater to your own tastes if you ask.

Best cocktails in Durham, including a fantastic range of 1920s concoctions (the Sidecar is my absolute favourite, and try an Aviation if you like floral flavours), always beautifully presented. We try out the new places whenever one opens, but they never quite measure up to WR, and we always find our way back there again when in search of a sophisticated tipple.

Absolutely love whiskey for a cocktail! Staff are friendly and always give a warm welcome. Best beer garden in Durham, especially when it’s sunny! Even better dogs are very welcome. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

Went in last night In a group of 4. 3 serving behind the bar. Stood waiting with the curly haired one making eye contact (not in a sexual way�) after ten minutes of people getting served around us. We went to the boathouse, who were organised and aware who was waiting in turn. I would suggest that you acknowledge people who are waiting on order. No organisation at all. Get it sorted.
