First time family have ever had christmas dinner out there was 11 of us all had good time service and staff brilliant and food great aswell will definitely take family to whistling goose again for next year's Christmas dinner.
Brilliant Christmas dinner better then lambwath. The manager was absolutely amazing top man and his staff was amazing and did a great job, hats off to them when it was an extremely busy day.
25 of us went for my brothers birthday meal some of our food come out cold nan breads was brought out after curry had been eaten a waitress dropped a meal on the floor and didn't clean it up and then told her manger it was because children were running around and they was sat eating no one come to see if our food was ok and when spoke to manger her response was sorry she did not ask anyone else in the party about they meals think she needs to learn some more customer service skills i will never go back again and that was the rest of everyone's view as well
Sorry to say last time I took the family here it was dreadful. The fish wasn't cooked & still frozen in the middle. When I told the waitress she asked so do you want me to warm it up!!!!!
The staff are helpful and the food always hits the spot all in a very nice pub atmosphere
Food was of great taste except for the mashed potato which was like smash instant potato flakes
Not a good experience. Wife & I popped in at 7pm ish Sunday. On first impression it seemed ok, then we saw the mess under tables and on the floor. Chips, napkins and bits of paper everywhere. So got in sat down selected food n drinks and off to the bar I went. There was just 2 behind the bar and around 8 adults trying as well as getting drinks. The problem was it took HALF an hour before I got seen. Ordered food ok then asked how much the gins were to a don't know. So I asked her to look up the price of a double, so a Bombay came in at 5.50. Now next to the till was a board that said choose gin, choose garnish (lime I said) and mixer. Didn't have fever tree light so schweps it was. Turned out she put lime cordial in and it was a cocktail that came in at nearly 8 quid. The food was okish, wife had a med rare rump which was overcooked but tasty. I had the big medium rib eye which was a bit chewy but cooked ok. It came with Mac cheese which was anemic. Not grated cheese grilled on top. Chips were Luke warm and rubbery. One guest beer on tap that was zingy, wife said pipes hadn't been cleaned but too late to do anything about it. Will we be back..... No
Great food but the bar service can be a bit slow
Usually great and regularly enjoyed meals there but only been once since they changed the menu, and at the moment there is nothing on the mains menu to make me want to go again.
The food from here is not good at all used to be nice! Been twice now and both times was not good got burger chips the burger was dry and over cooked got about 10 chips, they was dry! me girlfriend got the chicken what was like rubber and and kids got meals there was just as bad
Got a large southern fried chicken burger. It was very dry, the salad on the burger was minimal. There was a very small portion of chips that were unseasoned. For the price range you can go to lots of places for a better meal.
Went for a quite pint and got everythi.g that I wanted nice and clean music just right for talking will visit again
Great place to go for a meal staff helpful and always smiling I give I big fat ******AAA********* keep up the good work
Bit pricey but worth it and better with you free voucher codes (download the app voucher cloud on playstore) we saved £8 on 2 meals. Staff very friendly
