In support of the environmental movement to stop the use of single-use plastic straws, we will no longer be using plastic straws in our restaurant and bar, and will be replacing them with our new and fabulous paper straws #saynotoplasticstraws

Our restaurant, Grille, offers an extensive selection of red wines, to match perfectly with our a la carte menu. Happy Father's Day from all the team at the White Hart Hotel.

Have you tried the fantastic wines from our menu? This month we are showcasing the fabulous @cherubinowines Ad Hoc Chicken and Hen Chardonnay. Nicely oaked, super buttery and very elegant, it’s definitely worth a try!

We had a family get together for Sunday lunch to celebrate our daughter's 21st. It was a last minute change of venue as the original place could not accommodate the number of people and had a limited menu. The staff at the Grille were friendly and helpful and we each had a really delicious meal. We would definitely recommend.

We got married here last month. When we decided our date I’ll be honest I was thinking we would pick Branston Hall as our venue, but the amazing winter package with no hidden costs, helpful staff and classy vibe swayed us in their favour.

The honeymoon suite is bigger than I was expecting and has a beautiful view of the cathedral which I enjoyed as I was sat facing the window having my make up done on the morning of. Very clean too.

I stayed the night before with my sister at a discounted rate then the night of the wedding was included in the package.

We used the east gate for the ceremony and King Richard Suite for the wedding breakfast and what a transformation. The rooms looked amazing! We hired and bought decoration and left a list of how we wanted everything laid out and then the staff just got on with it on the morning.

Helen was very helpful answering emails in the run up to the wedding and we spoke to Claire about set up on the day, very grateful for your help ladies

The bar staff were also helpful the evening before making sure the bar seating was how we wanted it and at the end of the wedding night the hotel manager was chatting to us at the bar. It was a very personal service and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I’d do it all again tomorrow if I could! Thank you

User

The staff were really friendly, stunning view of the cathedral and very clean! It had the essentials but the only small niggle I had was the dresser table as it didn’t have a lamp or some sort of light for when you’re doing your makeup! Apart from that it was great! x

User

The staff are outstanding and the hotel is excellently placed with in what I view as very nice city.

User

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The White Hart. The staff made us extremely welcome and nothing was too much for them to help us in any way.

The room was gorgeous spotlessly clean and so comfortable.

The food was of high quality. We had room service one morning and it was piping hot and presentation was lovely.

Thoroughly recommend anyone to come and stay and enjoy their experience at the hotel like we did.

User

Me and my Daughter stayed last night. Room was huge and the facilities great. I will be bringing my Husband to stay, hopefully later in the year.

User

I love this hotel. Okay the decor is a little bit tired but my goodness the staff more than make up for this. I felt safe, cared for and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely place with excellent customer care. Well done to you all.

User

I and my family visited here on Sunday for Mothering Sunday family meal, I wasn't disappointed at all. Lovely food, very clean and tidy everywhere, friendly staff would recommend! Ps lovely hand lotion in the toilets too. :)

User

Having photographed many venues I have to say this venue was amongst top of my list to re-visit again!.

Bridal prep room was a spacious, light and airy perfect for those bridal prep shots.

The staff were incredible, professional and so helpful Matt especially

Hope to photograph this venue again soon

User

Had a very convivial lunch with family. Waiting staff were absolutely superb, and the food excellent, being both local produce and hot. Highly recommended.

User

First time staying. Location is great, between the Cathedral and the Castle, going down into the town is fine, just be prepared for a climb back up Steep hill, lives up to its name.

The staff were friendly, room was fine room 202 bit of a climb. Breakfast was good plenty to eat, had dinner on 1 night that was fine, there's an early menu up to 18:30 and a la carte menu after. There is free parking across the road, some of it under shelter and some in the open, just be aware the under cover has pigeons roosting so expect some mess. Overall enjoyed the stay and would definitely use again.

User

First time here and will most definitely be coming back. Located in the best part of Lincoln but be prepared for the big hill if you go into town. Great going down but hellos to come back up. Stunning view of the cathedral from our room. Ate in the grille restaurant and the food was amazing. Staff were wonderful especially the restaurant manager the guy from Hungary. The bar sells a fabulous range of cocktails. Breakfast was lovely. We opted for it in our room and delivered bang on time we ordered for. Fresh and hot! Overall fantastic stay can't think of one thing to complain about other than we had to leave!

User

Fantastic location, so close to both the Cathedral and castle with a lot of lovely boutiques and cafes close by. The room was spotless and very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant (Grille) was great, we ate from the ala carte menu and couldn't fault the food at all. We will definitely be staying again with our children next time as we enjoyed Lincoln so much. Thank you.

User

Fabulous afternoon tea, lovely staff, first class service! Stayed a while ago for our wedding night and couldn’t have asked for better. Would recommend to anyone

User

An amazing hotel in a beautiful place. My family and i had a lovely cosey stay, it was clean, warm and the staff were lovely. We had a meal and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back xx

User

This was the 2nd time my wife and I have stayed at the White Hart. Our room was very nice although a bit of a trek to get to and, although right next to the Cathedral, the double glazing reduces the noise of the bells enough so that you don't notice them. Be warned though, there is no air con, so if you want your window open be prepared for a bit of campanology. The hotel's USP is its location being in the best part of Lincoln in my opinion (Bailgate) and the Cathedral and castle are a stones throw away. Having it's own car park in this part of town is also a bonus. Breakfast was good with very friendly, but slightly disorganised, staff although to be fair to them, it was a busy service as there had been a wedding in the hotel the day before and a lot of the guests had stayed over. Bottom line, we would definitely stay here again.

User

I've stayed here many times, and it couldn't be better placed to explore Lincoln. It has a great car park, the staff are friendly and most of the hotel has been wonderfully decorated. Sadly I lucked out on my room this time as it had a tiny and uncomfortable single bed and a shower head that looked like it hadn't been updated since the 70s. At £81 for the night, I was sadly disappointed.

User

Was so disappointed, booked afternoon tea at white hart for the Friday just gone , arrived to be seated in the bar no table set, and was left at that table , we paid £19 a head for a champagne afternoon tea, was not worth it, we wanted to treat a friend from London , thought the ideal place. Won’t be going back

User

The staff behind the bar haven’t got a clue who’s been waiting for ages to get served and just go for the prettiest female they can find. If you want to wait at the bar just to be ignored, this is the place to go!
