It was a very quiet night but the host was welcoming food was excellent very generous portions and good value presented well and was very tasty service was quick just what was needed BV after s hard day's walking would certainly return

We first visited the white lion over 2 year's ago and found it a lovely pub on all aspects. We were back there the weekend just gone and on the Saturday night we went for food at 7.30 . The place was very busy and we were told we'd have to wait for a table which wasn't a problem. After 45 mins we got a table and were told we could order food but there would be an hours wait again it wasn't a problem. We went to the bar to get some more drinks only to be told they were not doing anymore food even though we were told 10 minutes earlier we would be able to order. We've since learnt that the pub is under new ownership and the new owners unlike the old ones do not help out around the bar . We went into Glenridding and found The Travellers Rest Which we can highly recommend. Unfortunately the white lion is not what it use to be .

Very welcoming traditional style pub which is dog and muddy boot friendly with very good food and nice beer.

Good selection of beers, friendly atmosphere, warm fire, hiker friendly and dog friendly. Coffee also available if you're feeling cold. I was very glad to visit after what felt like a long walk.

Really nice pub, decent meal, good selection of beer/ale. Good WiFi (which is nice in a place with no reception) some outside seating overlooking the hills. Friendly staff.

We didn't eat here, but the staff were friendly, great selection of beverages and nice warm toilets!!! Great for a well earned drink after a good walk along the lake etc

Fantastic friendly pub great staff top class food & beer cater for everyone dogs friendly wouldn't go anywhere else as a place in my heart ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
