We love it in here.... visited for coffee every day, every year that we came down on holiday... now we are fortunate enough to live down here it's our regular!... lovely staff and food. Very relaxing place to sit with a coffee and check out the latest art in display, being an artist myself .... oh..... and a stunning garden!!!

Visited white stones with my friend for lunch very impressed with how welcoming the staff are! Good choice of menu and specials And reasonable prices for the quality of food! Garden is perfect if you want to relax outside! Definitely will be back :)

I had a brilliant time at WhiteStones when I visited a few months ago. I loved the styling of the interior and the fabulous range of art and sculpture on display. The food was lovely too!!! If you love great art, great decor and great food, WhiteStones is a gem of a find if you're visiting Portland.

I go into whitestones a few times a week for a nice salad... � with some � sausages and eggs around it!!! And the quality and service is superb, well done guys

Came here on Monday with my friend Emily and we came just as they had stopped serving food but the gentlemen who I think was the owner was more than happy to make something for us which we were very happy about as we were silly’s and hadn’t eaten before then. My friend Emily’s panini she had ordered wasn’t actually the one she had asked for and the gentlemen was more then happy to take it back and give her the one she had wanted bearing in mind it was well past the closing time for food he went to a lot of effort for us and quickly came back with what she wanted. He was very lovely and we will be coming back again for another lunch at the correct time. He also took some of my dog walking business cards and was more then happy to help display them for me. All in all was a lovely day and a lovely meal.

Called in to see the artwork and was happily surprised how nice the coffee shop is. Lots of lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas. Only had time for a coffee but will make a point of returning when next in the area.

Another lovely lunch with the family today. Really good value, service and yummy food. I love that there are snacks available which means my kids could demolish Pringles whilst we waited the short time for our sandwiches. My eleven year old was wide eyed at her salmon bagel and later described it as the best lunch ever! The waiting staff are lovely and very thoughtful- offering crisps or sandwiches with lunch and coke in bottles or cans- we chose bottles which meant we could take away what wasn't finished. I cannot fault Whitestones and a trip here is always a real treat! Thank You.

After a recommendation from a friend we decided to give it a go, not disappointed!! Lovely lay-out, great decor, lovely garden and friendly staff. Just had a swift drink but the menu looks good......next time! :-)

A relaxed friendly cafe with lovely shady garden. Highly recommended.

I've been coming here for a while as a treat on some weekends. Being local it is just a walk down the road.

However, the last 3 times the food has gradually been getting worse. I thought today we would give it the benefit of the doubt and go again. Unfortunately after today I won't be returning again. I always have the large breakfast, swap the mushrooms and tomato for an extra sausage. Only to be told today that we can't do that as our kitchen is to small..... has it shrank in size????? It never use to be a problem and was always delicious! So I had to pay extra this time for the sausage.

When our food came out the bacon shattered when I put my fork into it because it was that well done. The sausages were ok but wouldn't have said great. The eggs were burnt underneath and the yolk was rock solid, the worst part was I still had the mushrooms and tomato chucked on my plate and as I despise the taste of mushrooms I had to soak it all up with a serviette.

From what use to be a favourite treat has now resulted in not wanting to return again. Such a shame.
