News Flash from another site. Hoping this isn’t our guests!!
This morning is the annual pebble counting on Whitstable beaches.
Each year local volunteers count the estimated 14.75 - 15 million stones on the beaches. If the final count is less than expected, volunteers have to go into the sea to collect the extra pebbles required to meet the quota!
... So please inform the tourists and holiday-makers who seem so obsessed with mindless activity of throwing stones into the sea, that this just makes extra work for our local volunteers!
