We have just celebrated my mum's birthday at Wickford charcoal and meze and have to say the food and service was wonderful . Thank you very much to all the staff for making my mum feel so special on her big day xx

The service was fine and the food was good. Garlic mushrooms cheese.. that was good then chicken and rice it was all good all hot and everything came at the same time for 4 people.. we had a good meal with beers followed by raki and a few cocktails... great night i did stink of garlic apparently...����

The Food is Absolutely Beautiful and Tasty, Lovely Atmosphere and Great Staff, I Highly Recommend this place and Look Forward to going back again soon. 5 ������

Ordered a share platter for takeaway, says feeds 4-5ppl but I was soooooooo much more food there. Was nice and hot when it arrived. Lovely tasting!! So happy!! Definitely recommend!!

Made a last minute booking on Saturday and have to say, glad they could fit us in.

Service started once we were sat and drinks arrived quickly after so we had fantastic service and great tasty food.

We opted for the meze and were not dissapointed.

We added the cheese rolls to the meal and the humus with lamb (omg so good!). Soooo much tasty food dished up that we even took some home for supper.

Not normally a rice eater but even that was shovelled on my plate as was so delish.

Will be back again

Just finished a take out from here fed family of 4 (2 kids 2 adults) for £30 absolutely lovely food, good variety and very tasty! Super fast delivery also

Fresh, hot and delicious. Portion size is incredible, definitely didn’t leave hungry. Staff even offered to box up what we couldn’t eat. A good experience.

First visit for us to this restaurant, was greeted well and seated, order came quickly, looked lovely was very tasty and hot. Was very impressed with both the service and food, after hearing mixed reviews, had to see for ourselves what it was like, there was so much food we couldn’t eat it all, we were given takeaway containers,we shall be eating there again .

Called in for an impromptu lunch with the family. Friendly welcome, had the lunchtime special menu. Great choice with a good option for vegetarians, food was well presented and tasted great. Will definitely be going back.

The staff are very good and the food is tasty although 2 in our party had the lamb kebab and said it was very chewy and I found the kofta too salty.

But the management must sort out the length of time it takes for them to actually put a drink and food on the table. They were hugely busy but we waited at least an hour for a bottle of wine and another hour for food. It is also very noisy when crammed with so many people. But it wouldn't take much to make it really excellent. I would definitely say go but try weekdays or lunchtime

The food was good but the service was really really bad. Was sitting at the table for about 10 minutes with no offer of a drink and didn't even have a menu to look at. Had to ask for drinks and the menu. There were 5 of us - we were given 4 menus. Had to ask for bread for the table. Had to ask for our food order to be taken. One of the mains arrived 5 minutes after everyone else's. Had to ask for another drink order to be taken. Had to ask for dessert and coffee menu.



Sat at table at around 7.45pm. Left the restaurant at about 11.45pm.



Don't expect quick or decent service here. But the food is good.

Food was really great, we had mixed mezze for 5 but everything was portioned out for 4 (??), they bought our mains but hadnt cleared starters away so all became a muddle - service was very lacklustre, we had to keep asking for everything starting with drinks onwards - servers very friendly albeit a little bit familiar with everyone (perhaps if they concentrated on looking after the customers in hand instead of trying to flirt all the time?) - we had delicious turkish wine and ended with coffees and baklava which were wonderful. Not sure we will be back to be honest, the food was great but service was not and cant face having to ask for everything! Maybe some training on table & serving etiquette and how to look after your customers wouldnt go amiss - management take note!

Personally if their opening hours show they close at 11pm why is music still on at midnight???????

Very disappointing evening...

Service very slow as we were waiting on our drinks & had to give them a nudge as to where our drinks were.

And as for our main meals every thing was so over seasoned with salt and was not edible ...

Then I ordered some thing else which consisted of five cubes of chicken & a small lamb kofta and two heaps of rice and bulgar wheat and a salad (small) bowl of salad which that too was salty for £13.

In my eyes so over priced wish I had gone to a kebab van instead..

Order online. Recieved my order which was cold. Upon looking at the hummus i order,it was FROM ALDI!!!!! This is appalling from “turkish restaurant”.

Very dissapointed and will never order from here again.
