Wonderful pub close to the Cathedral and law courts, fine range of locally brewed real ales to go with delicious home cooked food, and very friendly and helpful staff.

What can I say, it’s my local and since becoming a regular I’ve made many friends and had numerous great times. You won’t find better or more friendly staff anywhere

We love it and always go when in Norwich. The ladies who served us were just lovely efficient and so friendly,made to feel so welcome.What a beautiful building, and the food was tasty and of course decent beer.

Very welcoming and polite cant wait to go back and try some more of there wonderful ales

Very good selection of real ales and continental lagers,the food looked good,but didn’t try on this visit. Nice open area Out front with plenty of tables and chairs,ideal for sunny day drinking. Our group couldn’t fault it,so much so,that we stayed all afternoon.

The staff are great and well managed, the beer is really well kept.I cannot comment on the food but if it is half as good as the ale it will be worth eating.

Lovely lovely food! Cater well for gluten free. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.x

As an out of towner....this is our favourite Norwich pub. Whenever we get a train to the Fine City this is a must pub for us. Superb food, well kept beer and we think all the staff are great.

With a Group of friends surveying pubs that were part of the Fringe to CAMRA’s Winter Ale Festival. As it was close to Luchtime a lot of tables were set for eating but we managed to squeze around a table near the bar hopefully not upsetting the regular drinkers who seemed to take it i good faith. Excellent range of Cask Beers served by handpump from East Anglian Brewers. Pub has a lot of Character. Well worth hunting out.

Went for lunch - very nice - good portions and the Creme Brûlée is to die for! Nice atmosphere too

Really good food here on an early Saturday evening. Chicken was cooked well and I enjoyed the red slaw and sweet potato fries. Staff were helpful and friendly. Chap had steak and liked it, only one minor thought & thats chips could've been chunky? Pudding of choc brownie was bigger than expected. Thanks wig n pen; Those networking meetings paid off as I remembered you serve good food! 😄

It was just opening up and we needed a coffee and they obliged! Good service and nothing much trouble. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by
