Historic military and other exhibits abound at The Wight Military and Heritage Museum in Northwood. Situated on the main Cowes to Newport road the museum will excite your senses and immerse you in a world of human success over adversity.

The museum holds an interesting mix of tanks, artifacts, other vehicles, small arms and a range of uniforms from the 1940’s to the present day. Learn about life in wartime and about those who contributed so much to the war effort as you investigate the replica street scene and other exhibits.

Guided tours are generally available from our ex-service volunteers who, with their varied experiences and anecdotes, really contribute to the enjoyment of the displays!

Armoured Vehicle rides are currently not available, please check ahead for events such as Christmas etc.

There is also a covered rifle range to test your shooting skills.

When that is all done, enjoy refreshments in the Mess bar or the café.
