Will be coming again its such a lovely place animals are so cute I have fallen in love with miss piggles so worth a tip out to wild discovery x

User

What a lovely place this is. We decided to visit after I arranged for my parents to have an animal experience. The booking process was easy and it was nice to get some personal experience from Neil (owner) when choosing which was the best experience. We received a really warm welcome when we arrived and Neil was really good with my 2 year old during the farm talk. My parents LOVED the whole experience- it's not everyday you get a marmoset monkey on your shoulder ! The layout was easy to follow, with a good selection of animals and it was nice to have some free roaming animals just going about their day. A really good day out and my little girl had a fab time!

Weā€™ve been to some zoos in our time with 2 boys, but this has been the best by far. A small zoo, but very interactive, even the grand parents were entertained. The staff were fab and very knowledgeable. The boys enjoyed ā€œthe meet the animal experienceā€ and thoroughly enjoyed feeding the marmoset monkeys and they particularly enjoyed the monkeys jumping on them. Alex was fantastic and told us everything there was to know about them. It was lovely to see someone so passionate about their work.

The boys really liked the fact that some animals were just roaming around and were not phased by any visitor.

A great day out, we will be back.

We have watched the Zoo grow over 3 separate visits to Ribby Hall for family holidays. The Wild Discovery staff are all wonderful, passionate, extremely knowledgable and, most importantly, accommodating. Particular thanks on this trip to Neil, Nicola and Alex who took time to interact with my son Sam (4) who is a huge animal lover. Sam was treated like a real VIP and when it was discovered he had an interest in bugs, the ā€œMeet the Keeperā€ session was tailored around this to show him some weird and wonderful bugs. On a personal level the couple of chats I had with Neil were a real treat, I would genuinely pay to hear his stories and insights into animal conservation. Couldnā€™t recommend highly enough.

My son and I did a raindeer experience. It was fantastic. Neil was so informative and understanding with my son who has asd. It really has made both our holiday. The zoo was lovley and all the staff are so helpful highly recommend. Can't wait to go back..

User

My first visit, but wonā€™t be my last. As an exotic animal keeper myself, I was impressed with the collection & the way they are kept. Had a nice chat to keeper Craig (I think) who was enthusiastic & knowledgable, & happy to talk & answer questions. Looking forward to returning in better weather to see the animals in their outdoor enclosures. Well done & all the best for the future!

My 3year old daughter loves it at wild discovery. She is in love with Mrs piggles and follies her everywhere lol x

User

Just the best little place for taking our babies. So much to do and see with your children and the staff are amazing. Very intimate educational talks and one in one's with the animals and zoo keepers. Highly recommended for those with smaller children that prefer not to go to a larger animal park ļæ½

User

It was a great day out with my kids! We had such a great time, loved the fact you could go out at any point and come back will definitely be returning!

User

I love coming here with my 2 young children. Their attention spans arenā€™t great so I have an annual pass which is a bargain for Ā£30 so we can come and go as we please all year round. There is a great range of animals and schedule of activities. We particularly enjoy the enrichment activity - it is so hands on and the kids really enjoy it. The staff are great and always very friendly. Iā€™ve learnt so much coming here! They are also always expanding in some way and introducing new animals so thereā€™s always something new to see. Iā€™ve just renewed my pass today so looking forward to seeing what the next year brings!

User

Fantastic place with happy animals looked after by people who really care about them. A must visit for everyone. Children and adults will love it.

User

Fabulous time on Sunday lovely to meet all the animals and thank you to Zoo keeper and staff.

Will be back again soon ļæ½

User

Fabulous afternoon out. Owners are so passionate and we loved having the privilege of meeting the animals close up. Just a lovely uncommercial venture that is obviously the realisation of a dream from those with a passion for animals. This isnā€™t a ā€˜zooā€™; itā€™s a beautiful, happy home. We will be back!

User

Discovered this via a friend and can't believe I never knew it was there! Great zoo, great value for money especially liked that you could come and go if you had your hand stamped, my step daughter who is 3, loved meeting the big pig and holding the little ones! Had a great afternoon, well be visiting again soon, good to hear all about the conservation efforts from Alex the guide xx very pleased, a little gem right on our doorstep, highly recommend you go if you've never been x

User

Beautiful and well thought out centre! Wonderful array of both exotic and the more well known but endagered/uncommon species of livestock (a lovely treat for those who are more within the animal world). All animals had clean, well designed enclosures manned by knowledgeable and approachable staff. Educational talks were available throughout the day and included in the price, which is incredibly reasonable considering how well stocked and well managed it is! It's very obvious that this centre is run by very dedicated and passionate owners and staff, who have placed, and continue to place, welfare and education at the top of their priorities. I look forward to my future visits!

User

Amazing. Very interactive for all ages as there are windows for the little ones to look through and love the hands on experiences with some of the animals in the farm yard area. Will definitely be coming back

User

Absolutely fab little zoo our son just had a marmoset experience which was a great experience for him Neil made it fun and enjoyable great place great staff would highly recommend

User

A fantastic place for the whole family. The staff were wonderful too. A great selection of animals that you don't usually see such as armadillos and you get much closer to the animals than at a normal zoo.
