Wild Frontiers Adventure Travel Description

We aim to travel off the beaten path and uncover a way of life that is completely different to our own. To travel along evocative routes taking in some of the world's most spectacular scenery, exploring landscapes, cultures and cuisines and experiencing a country from its very heart. Wild Frontiers is committed to doing this in a responsible way, minimising our impact on fragile cultures and environments.

We are firm believers that travelling is all about the experience and it's in the details - the places you stay, the transport and route that gets you there, and the people you meet along the way - that make the trip. We draw on our own extensive local knowledge and array of contacts to create authentic, extraordinary travel experiences in some of the world's most captivating destinations.

User

Went to Iran last year with Wild Frontiers and had a very enjoyable trip, guides were fantastic as I became ill on the trip and they looked after me very well. Looking forward to traveling with Wild Frontiers in the future.

User

We travelled to Oman with Wild Frontiers last year, and thoroughly recommend the trip. Oman isn’t perhaps on everybody’s list of must visit destinations, but it really should be. From the historically fascinating Muscat and Nizwa, to the wild beauty of the coast at Khaluf and the frankly astonishing majesty of the Empty Quarter, the trip has everything. The WF team were great – helpful, engaging and knowledgeable and the organisation was excellent.

We provide the unique Lake Nasser tours from Aswan to Abu Simbel to WF. They are a very serious travel agency and watching on every detail. Our experience with WF has been outstanding and we are looking forward to having more little groups coming through them with the same travel philosophy and attention to environment, culture and sustainable tourism. Join us on our next new year escape tour or any other time. Your Lake Nasser Adventure team

Superb trip to India and a big thank you to our guide Bhopal. Great to see WF taking a stand against the elephant rides - good to see your eco values in action!

Sad to be finishing epic trip around Gujurat led by Jude Holliday. What an amazing place....and the textiles were amazing!

Recently back from my 5th trip with Wild Frontiers, this time to Madagascar and yet another superb holiday. Brilliantly organised with a carefully thought out itinerary which enabled us to experience so much of this incredible island - breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary vegetation & fascinating wildlife.

User

Recently back from 3 weeks in India via Wild Frontiers. Amazing experience and well organised from start to finish. Can't recommend highly enough!

User

Really fabulous Company to deal with. When my Dad fell and broke his hip in Turkmenistan, Wild Frontiers could not have helped more. You really know you are onto a winner when nothing is too much trouble when accident happens.

User

Love travelling with WF! Great destinations, fun and helpful guides plus the WF team have usually "been there, done that and got the T Shirt" so can pass on valuable advice and opinions.

I can't wait for my next adventure! Where that is, who knows??!

User

Just back from an amazing trip to Madagascar. We had a great guide, it brilliantly organised and the group got on really well. Madagascar is a difficult country to get around independently and everything went really smoothly. The accommodation was top notch and we were very lucky with the weather - although it was rainy season, it only rained at night and so didn't impact on any of our activities. What I love about Wild Frontiers is that almost everything is included, so if you're in a group you don't need to worry about splitting the bill at the end of a meal or whether you have enough water on the bus. The maximum group size is 12 which is great - doesn't feel like a coach trip. Everything is organised for your and you can be confident that Wild Frontiers will make great decisions as to the highlights of your destination - and not just the usual ones. I've been to India, Montenegro and Georgia with Wild Frontiers as well and can't recommend them highly enough. For a solo traveller they are superb.

User

I'm a recent convert to Wild Frontiers, having defected from a company that used to run really Explore-atory trips to exotic locales and has lately turned into a sort of Saga-with-worse-hotels kind of outfit. I was initially put off by the prices, I'll be honest, but my first trip with WF really showed where that money was going - incredible destinations, absolutely first-rate local guides, hotels that are in the centre of things (rather than way out in the sticks, because those are cheaper), and transportation that puts you at eye-level with the landscape (as opposed to a honking great tour bus where you're an observer but not a participant). Local guides who really know the country and the people, who find out about stuff that's off the beaten track and who delight and surprise the travelers with unexpected side attractions. I've only been on two trips with WF so far, but they have been easily the equal of the best of the 14 trips that I took with The Other Company. I have no reservations about recommending Wild Frontiers - a big shout out to Sureya (Our Man In Kashmir), Daniel (for whom the whole world is home), and Wally (legend has it that there is not a single specimen of avian life in the Guiana Shield that he can't recognise in silhouette from 800 metres or whose call he can't imitate).

User

I have been on 3 trips with WF, one to Ethiopia and two to India. They have all been fantastic, interesting and unusual itineries, with a mix of culture and amazing places. The WF staff and guides are brilliant. I enjoy photography and have never been disappointed. Just booked my next trip to Oman and really looking forward to it.

User

Finished our Exotic Marigold Hotel Tour on Friday and it was excellent. Special thanks to Bhopal for his patience and efficiency. Also to Narinda and Pardeep for amazing driving and looking after us so very well. Will certainly book again with WF and will recommend.

User

Best experience ever! Well looked after and well thought out itineraries as well as friendly and informative guides.

As a British Pakistani, I have been visiting Pakistan since childhood and enjoyed the many opportunities to visit my extended family and learn more about my heritage.

Although I had travelled extensively across Pakistan, I had never managed to visit the Hindu Kush regions .

So when I read about the Wild Frontiers Hindu Kush Trip, I rushed to book it.Having heard that Jonny Bealby,( whose books I had read) ,would be leading the group and that we would be participating in the Kalash festivals, this was an opportunity definitely not to be missed .

The organisation from Wild Frontiers both in the U.K. and Pakistan was excellent, the local guides and drivers were superb, the accommodation standard to luxurious, the scenery was spectacular, my fellow travellers lively, interesting and great fun.Jonny's love and knowledge of Pakistan shone through.

An awesome experience visiting this stunning region of Pakistan for the very first time ,and seeing Pakistan through a 'foreign' group's eyes.

Can't wait for the next adventure with Wild Frontiers!

I traveled with WF for Buttan , Tailor Made, and I had a series of problems reported them by email.

The answer I had was that:

"Thanks for your email and I am aware of how you feel."
