More beautiful spring flowers. I can't believe the huts have been empty for nearly 2 weeks this Friday and during such a beautiful time. We are busy again from this Friday until Monday 13th May were there is availability :-) I can still take last min bookings from tomo for 2 nights.

Last chance to book the last bluebell weekend!! Originally this weekend was blocked out but I have now reopened. We are taking a break from Monday so email response will be slow.

HELPER for huts wanted for the summer! if you have your own camper etc that'll be good. Otherwise we have a bell tent which i'd set up with a woodburner for the season.
Some work in exchange for living here and then a bit of money on top. This will not be a solid wage as there can be quieter times in the weekdays. So ideally it would work for a couple where one has a full time job and the other happy to help out here.
Cleaning, washing, ironing, check ins etc. Dogs of course welcome. This wouldn't work with someone with small children as you need flexibility to be able to just get on with stuff. Take it from me it was near on impossible sometimes with my little ones when I first set up!

Since we had the huts build we were wondering whether there was another way to have the beds and seating area. We opted for a real bed due to having had camper vans and the faffing with cushions etcs. But now i'm thinking how about a pull out bed like this one. The bedding can all stay on it (may just have to get bigger bottom sheet and mattress protector so it tucks in) and just pull out at night. During the day a throw could go over it. It will mean more space and a comfy snug area to sit.
We of course would make sure the mattress is super comfy.
Can I have comments and thoughts please :-) we would be doing this end of the summer time ready for cosy winter nights.

Anyone know of someone who would like a place to live in their motorhome or whatever tiny home they have over this summer? I need someone practical who would be able to convert an old horse trailer into a couple of showers and also someone willing to help out on farm at times and the shepherds huts.

So excited I've found something natural (no plastic wrapping either), just the right size for the huts and short stays. Now guests can lather themselves up in lovely lemongrass with no nasties! Our guest are currently enjoying stunning weather! We also still have availability in our valley hut for this weekend!

We stayed in the Woodland Hut 13th/14th May. What an amazing magical location. The bluebells were heavenly and the birdsong soulful. Our hut provided us with warm comfort and everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Wildflowers in abundance, we explored and walked, calling in at the Rose and Crown in Elham. Thanks Hannah for a great weekend, we can't wait to visit again.

We spent 2 wonderful nights in the Valley hut with our dog and loved every minute. Great accommodation with lovely touches such as store cupboard essentials being supplied on arrival.

It really was magical family time �

Utterly wonderful accommodation, upstaged only by the idyllic setting. We were on the hillside overlooking the valley, waking up to a gorgeous vista and the sound of birds in the nearby woodland. The closest village has more than enough for folk who like good meals and a drink, which can be earned by a good walk there from huts. Can't recommend it enough. I even took the opportunity to propose to my other half (wife to be) there.

This is an incredibly beautiful very peaceful and special place. The hosts are amazing xx

The area was absolutely beautiful! The hut was so sweet and comfy and felt like a small home away from home. It was lovely watching the animals in the area in front of the Woodland hut in the evenings. Hannah and Mark were both lovely and made us feel very welcome! Definitely will be booking for next year!

Stayed here weekend commencing 22nd April 2016. It was absolutely amazing. The views from the Valley Hut views were just simply breath taking! - Hannah was amazing to deal with, made the whole stay a lot easier!



Will definitely be making this a yearly tradition! Just words cannot describe how amazing staying here was!

Stayed for a night this week with my 2.5 year old. A lovely little adventure, in an absolutely beautiful, peaceful location. Didn't see another soul in the day we were there, just bunnies and buzzards! Well equipt and cosy enough for us that it wasn't hard work with a toddler at all. It was the valley hut views that caught my eye originally but as this was booked, we were in the woodland hut and actually it was great for us as with the May weather being hit and miss, we were really sheltered and toddler loved being in the woods. Hannah was a great host too. Thank you for having us! X

Myself, my other half and our dog are currently staying in the Valley hut and are having a wonderful time. The hut overlooks beautiful surroundings and you feel a million miles away from everything. We had 4 escorts to the hut when we arrived, who also greeted us this at breakfast this morning (2 piebalds, a mini chestnut and a black beauty). We also were lucky enough to see a stag which was amazing!! Domino the dog has definitely been enjoying himself...his favourite being the long walks which are right on the doorstep. We would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you are looking for peace, quiet and being surround by stunning countryside!

Just the perfect spot to kick back and relax. Surrounded by nature and nothing else - just brilliant!

The shepherd huts are really gorgeous too. The log burning stove kept us warm all weekend.

Just adore this place! Perfect in every way, in fact it is so nice that the last time we stayed we originally booked 3 nights and ended up extending it to 6!

Had the most wonderful and perfect weekend 6/7/8th April 18, in the Valley Shepherd hut - we were also blessed with fantastic sunny weather. A lot of love and thought has gone into creating this idyllic and blissful place. Breakfast was great too!! We had the most amazing walk along to Elham Way to Barham and back, just so lovely to see all the spring flowers, lambs and

much more including lunch at the Duke of Cumberland in Barham. also recommend the Sunday lunch at Abbots fireside - one of the best we’ve had - also vegetarian option available!

Had the most fabulous mid-week break, staying in the Woodland Hut. Was on my own to get away from it all and everything was brilliant. The attention to detail that Hannah has put in the shepherd huts is incredible. It was everything you see on the website, it was peaceful and beautiful and I had such great sleep while I was there. I camp a lot, so being able to come with just clothes and some food made the stay so easy. The kitchen may be tiny, but it has everything you need including fresh bread, jam and butter when you arrive. I highly recommend staying here whenever you need to get away from hustle and bustle of everyday life. I will be back for sure

Had the most amazing weekend in the fabulous valley hut. Such a peaceful location overlooking the valley surrounded by wildflowers, birds and other wildlife. The hut is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you might need. Will definitely be returning!
