Wilford Bowmen - Archery In Nottinghamshire Description

Wilford Bowmen are one of the longest established clubs in Nottinghamshire being able to trace the roots of the club back to ROF Archers, founded in 1948.

We shoot at our own ground in Wollaton Park. We can cater for all bowtypes and standards from beginner through to major competition archers. The coaches in the club cover a similar range of experience, right up to shooting for Great Britain.

During the lighter months we shoot on Sundays from 11am, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm or earlier depending on keyholder availability and during the colder, darker months we shoot indoors at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoons (4. 30-6. 30) and outside on Sundays from 11 am.

Every May we host our annual open competition, which is Record Status Rose Award York /Hereford /Bristols event and is used as part of the Nottinghamshire Team selection. We also host one leg of the Nottinghamshire League, which is an informal series of shoots encouraging friendly rivalry between clubs and which gives the perfect opportunity for newer archers to gain experience outside of their own club.

Maps to both venues can be found on the contact us page. If you are interested in finding out more about the club come down and meet us one Sunday.

Wilford Bowmen is affiliated to Nottinghamshire Archery Society, East Midlands Archery Society and Archery GB
