Wilfred Scruton Ltd is an agricultural machinery dealership based in Yorkshire, with depots at Foxholes (near Driffield) and Riccall (near York).

Wilfred Scruton Ltd is a long-established and family-run agricultural machinery dealership in Yorkshire.

The business has been in the Scruton family since 1898 when the foundry was purchased by John Scruton. At this time, the foundry was producing agricultural implements such as ploughs, cultivators, cattle and sheep troughts, turnip cutters and water tanks. The foundry was also used for casting parts used in agrulcure uch as plough wearing parts and brass parts - the biggest industry of the time.

In 1936 Wilfred took over and began trading as Wilfred Scruton Ltd, as it has remained ever since. By this time, machinery had become more complex and the company moved into the retail of machines manufactured internationally, selling brands such as Oliver, Massey Harris and Lister.

Wilfred continued to run his company until his untimely death in 1960 when his younger brothers Kenneth and Cecil took over the day-to-day running of the company. At this time, the company sold Massey Ferguson and Fordson tractors which were bought in from larger dealers. It was in 1970 that Wilfred Scruton Ltd secured their first major franchise from International Harvester, which produced tractors relatively locally, in Bradford and Doncaster.

Things have continued to progress, and the company has grown and expanded to two depots selling quality machinery produced locally and internationally.
