Disappointed and underwhelmed!

Gardens are amazing and restaurant/lounge very nice. Food was the best thing about it and the staff were all pleasant. Having said that we are Majorly disappointed that we were unable to use restaurant & gardens on the night time due to a function, which left us with no where to go other than the bar to have dinner and nowhere to relax once finished. Not quiet the relaxing night away we paid for. We got a Grande room, only grande thing about it was the name, the room was small, dark, pillows uncomfortable and room poorly positioned, (above main door). We had very little sleep due to noise from doors banging, creaky floors in corridors and inconsiderate people returning to rooms throughout the night. Then the fire alarm going off at 7.30am! need slow door closers on all doors to help reduce noise and something/where for people to go that are not part of functions.

Place has potential just need to get it right for all guests!
