Excellent customer service from Josh today in purchasing a bike for my son. Knowledgeable and not pushy in making a sale... will be back again!!!

Helpful place - minor repair carried out to my Shimano Ultegra road pedals (they’re an official service centre) - no charge. Decent of them - helpful bunch! Well stocked with bikes too.

The staff are really helpful and friendly and recognise you as soon as you enter the shop. They pumped up my tyres for free last time!
I was given expert advice on which bike to buy and would recommend them again and again!

We had excellent advise and they spent a lot of time explaining the difference between the bikes and parts.we felt we had to buy our new bikes from these guys.they did us a good deal and the bikes were ready when they said with all the extras fitted.

I went in to get some new handlebar grips and when I asked if they were easy to fit the guy behind the counter offered to fit them. Twenty minutes later, having moved the gear shifts, brake levers, lights, trip computer, they were fitted. That's what I call service ...

Superb service from a very friendly and professional team. Have taken my bike to other places but keep coming back to Williams as they genuinely look after you (unlike some others that I could mention). They will always go the extra mile if they can too and have worked on my bikes at short notice on more than one occasion. Prices are very good in comparison to some of the other bike shops in town. Won't be taking my bikes anywhere else from now on. Got my first bike from them in 1976, that says a lot.

Having just read the reviews for Williams Cycles I felt compelled to write a review.
My experience is based over 3 decades. My first ever New bike came from Williams in the 1980's and the 3 others as an adult. My kids bikes have all come from Williams cycles. Not once have I had an issue with after sales service from this family run company quite the opposite They have always gone above and beyond making our experience easygoing and pleasurable. I no longer live in Cheltenham and I bring up our bikes to be serviced when we come to visit family.
Make your own mind up, go chat to them for your self and you'll see why iv been going back for over 30 years.

You know the saying: 'You know how good a company is when things go wrong'? - Had a prime example.
I bought a new Specialized Rockhopper MB which was fine initially, but when things went wrong, the back up and support from Williams Cycles didn't exist. After 6 months, something went wrong with my bike, but was told by Williams it wasn't covered under warranty (bottom bracket) although when I checked on line, it WAS covered. I checked online because they failed to give me any paperwork when I took delivery (manuals etc).
Something else went wrong within the warranty period too, and again, I took it back and was told that I had to pay for it up front and they will send the failed part off to Specialized, then I would be refunded. 2 months later, I chased it. In the end I spoke to Specialized themselves and they didn't received any claim from my failed part. They also told me that Williams had a habit of doing this as I wasn't the first to call about this type of treatment as their labour rates are higher to retail than warranty claims.
There were a few other instances but they essentially LIED to me as a customer (possibly as they already had my money).
My experience there is that if you are willing to take the risk of being conned, Williams Cycles Cheltenham is the place to go.
6 months after this, I bought a road bike from Cheltenham Cycles....fantastic experience, even after there was a fault with the bike!
