Willow Fisheries is set within 4. 5 acres of land within the boundaries of Huntworth, Bridgwater, Somerset.

We purchased our land, lake and ponds in August 2011 and the last few months has seen sympathetic clearance of the site to restore it back to its former glory.

We will be stocking a large range of carp and silver fish; many carp in their doubles.

Our family run fishery is found opposite the Screech Owl fishing ponds just to the north of the Boat and Anchor Inn at Huntworth. We are close to junction 24 on the M5 and our fishery can be seen from the motorway if travelling southbound.

Directions to the site are as follows

From Bridgwater

Take the A38 towards Taunton. At the Showground Road roundabout (by the BMW garage), take the first left. Travel along Showground Road and take the first left onto Marsh Lane. Follow the road around until you get to the second canal brige that takes you to the Boat and Anchor Inn. Cross the canal bridge and proceed right. Follow the track past the pub to the railway gates. Stop at the railway crossing and open both gates before crossing. Cross quickly ensuring the lights are green and the alarm is NOT sounding. Once you are over the track ensure you close both gates before proceeding. The entrance to the fishery is approx 120m down the track on your left.

In a beautiful mature natural setting you will have a choice of swims available to you including allocated swims for those fishing with disabilities. We will also offer family swims.

We will have toilet facilities.

All monies generated by this fishery during the initial stages will be ploughed back into the site in order to keep creating a place for all to enjoy. Some of you may wonder why we would be doing this but this site is a culmination of dreams and hard work so we will do everything we can to make these ponds one of the best places to fish.

We will also be having FREE FISHING DAYS at various times during the month - bring friends along with you who have never experienced the joy of landing a fish.

Whilst fishermen have fished these waters for many many years right up until we purchased the site we will, planning permission permitting be seeking to make additions to the land in order to maximise the benefit to all who come here.
