Just in time for the club championships! The greenkeepers have a new toy. Watch out those greens are going to be like lightening!
The WAGGS (Wimbledon Ageless Gentlemen's Golf Society) have retained the "Kiwi Cup" over the WCGC Ladies for another year. 18 gentlemen captained by this year's WAGGS Captain Stephen Aldred and 18 ladies led by Lady Captain Morag Nicolson participated in today's Fourball Better Ball competition. WAGGS secretary Gordon House narrowly avoided a red top (it was salmon colour) violation by blinding onlookers with his matching cap and trousers. The glorious common
The course and club may have been shut, but it does not stop the staff working behind the scenes. A deep clean of the kitchen took place today just in time for our new chef Emma Bennett. Watch out over the next week or so (weather dependent) on a new fabulous menu at WCGC. Please do come in and sample her fabulous food.
