Really pleased with the car I bought for my daughter. (Rapid spaceback) it is practical for her job, comfortable for long journeys, she loves driving it and I feel secure that she has all the mod cons to help her and keep her safe. Once more Sean Wortley has found just the right car for us. (I think this is the 10th Lake car from Winchester Skoda)

Went there to get a new bulb for my Octavia VRS, No quibble, they changed it for me and replaced it without charge for fitting. I will definitely be back again.

Went there today to look at a new car , no where to park , how do they expect customers to put up with that ? ended up not staying . so wasted trip really

We had a replacement water pump fitted by a qualified independent mechanic a year ago, which failed about 8 months later. Believing it to be under warranty we were obliged to go to a Skoda franchised garage, in this case Winchester Motor Company (in Winchester) to have it replaced.



WMC refused to admit the part was faulty and charged us the full labour cost. It has taken a pro bono lawyer, a friendly independent garage, and a helpful VW parts supplier four months to extract the parts and labour owing to us - in fact the parts supplier reimbursed us for everything.



Throughout the procedure WMC were consistently obstructive (when one could get through to them). As it happens, they also fitted the replacement part both late and incorrectly which necessitated an RAC call out over 100 miles from home only 48 hours later (and also tried to charge us more than the amount agreed after the work was done but prior to payment).



As an aside, the national Skoda customer complaints department were pleasant but of no use, since the only evidence they gathered was from WMC.



As a result I sold the Octavia and instead of replacing it with a Yeti, as originally intended, I bought a different make - only because I could not take the risk of a similar occurrence in the future.



We have of course had no apology or contact of any sort from WMC.

If only 0 stars were available, this place isn't even worthy of 1.



If you want to be dealt with with any care or compassion, do not come to Winchester Skoda.



My husband booked his car in last week for warranty work - being a Master Technician himself, he told Skoda what needed doing based on a known issue that had been released. They had the car for 2 days before calling at 17:00 to say that the car hadn't had the work done that was required as it was too much of a big job. Only for my husband to be told that he needed to return the courtesy car by 18:00 - A slight problem when he work's and live in Basingstoke and doesn't finish until 17:30.

He was then told to return the car today - unfortunately it is his Nan's funeral today yet he was hideously asked "What time's the funeral?"

After then refusing to drop my husbands car back and collect the courtesy car as they didn't have anyone available, he was told that he had to take it back today "despite the sad circumstances".



So my husband took the car back this morning at 07:30, drove into the dealership, only to be sworn at by one of the Service Advisor's (flicked the bird, 2 fingers, whatever you want to call it, it was inexcusable and vile).



Safe to say that Winchester Skoda won't ever be getting our business again, paid or warranty, there is no excuse for such hideous and uncaring behaviour.
