Windermere Manor Hotel

An great location for anyone who is interested in the works of the poet William Wordsworth.

Very helpful, friendly staff. Nothing has been too much trouble. Also everywhere is immaculate.

The location of the hotel was handy for the train station , the grounds were attractive and well-kept. Check in was easy and our room was large with its own balcony. The bathroom had great water pressure and got to a good temperature. We weren't at the hotel for very long (purely to sleep and eat breakfast) so I can't really say much more but it was a very pleasant stay

Good place to stay. Don't park your car at the back of the hotel under the trees. Bird drops will make your car unrecognisable. I had to do 4 jet wash to get my car sorted.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is in need of updating , but it didnt affect our stay. Lovely quiet location a short distance from the busy town. Great for dogs too.

Great location, only about 10 minute walk from the Lake and 10 Minute walk from the town. When we arrived we were given a room in the Cottage section (which is separate to the main building).

We did call ahead and let the hotel know that we were bringing two dogs (there is a £5 per dog per night charge). When entering the room there were 2 dog baskets and 2 dog bowls out for the dogs, robes and slippers on the beds (for us i presume) and some snacks. We also had our own patio area.

The rooms we had was very large with the worlds biggest bed, deepest bath and largest shower I've ever seen in a hotel. It was very clean and did not smell of any previous dogs.

The hotel caters really well for blind people and people with guide dogs and there is an enclosed dog run in the hotel grounds for the poochies to stretch their legs. Me and my partner are not blind so cannot comment on any aspects of that.

The Staff were all really polite and friendly every time we saw them.

Breakfast was included and is hot and cold buffet style. There is also a small charge for certain extra's (Salmon, pastries and such). Breakfast was nice with a good atmosphere.

Perfect for if you have dogs, but i'd still book again even if i didn't take any. It's a great hotel in an excellent location.

Staff were excellent. The rooms where clean but may need updating in some areas, however they are clean and comfortable. The food was excellent.

Great except WiFi coverage in rooms (which you are informed of) and the shower in the room being fairly low power.

Lovely Victoria period hotel in idyllic setting. Dog-friendly facilities. Wonderful staff and outstanding food!
