Windmill Wheels

On tour and my bike's bottom bracket was grinding. I passed Windmill wheels, and popped in on the off chance they could fix it. Jack and his colleague were both very helpful, the bottom bracket was exchanged very quickly. Jack noticed my chain was showing that I hadn't cleaned or lubricated it in 3 full days of cycling, and did this too at no cost, as well as getting the tyres back to their correct pressure. I'm now nearly at my destination after a day of much smoother riding. So very many thanks for your kindness.

Just completed my first bike ride post bike fit - wow what a difference. Andrew was brilliant at explaining the theory behind the changes he made and explaining how to change my riding style a little to get more out of the bike and reduce risk of injury. The little sticker he put on the handle bars was a great reminder to check I hadn't slipped back into bad habits but actually the changes he had made meant I naturally rode in a better position. It's hard to find a quality high end bike shop outside of a major city and Windmill Wheels has it all. Well stocked with only quality products and true expert advice from a qualified mechanic, and bike fitter, what's more - both guys have raced at a high level. A low pressure sales environment and a cake shop next door makes Windmill Wheels a cycle enthusiasts paradise. 11/10.

Just had a bike fit here. Have to say really friendly, helpful staff. Andy, who carried out my fit was incredible. Not just your run of the mill bike fitter here. Paid real attention to how your body functions and then fits the bike to suit your body. So in depth too it's really really invaluable if you want to ride your bike in comfort or even if you want to race! Really impressed.

Jack is an exceptional bike mechanic. Rattling from the internal cabling on my bike had been driving me mad, I had previously taken it into three different professionally qualified mechanics with no success. Jack immediately diagnosed the problem - whilst I was present -, reckoned he could fix it, explaining what he would try. When i picked it up a few days later, he told me that the initial fix hadn't completely resolved the issue (which he had gone to the trouble of determining by actually taking it out for a ride), and so he had worked out an additional fix. Result? Silent running for the first time for years. I couldn't be happier, and am delighted to give Jack and Windmill unreserved recommendation.

They are a great bunch of guys, that ride their bikes as well as knowing their stuff. Highly recommended.
