4D ULTRASOUND FACT SHEET
4D technology uses sound waves that are out of the range of human hearing so your baby will not be aware of the scan taking place. For good clear imaging, we need a pool of amniotic fluid around baby’s face. To get the very best 4D images it’s important that your baby is in a face upward position However the images of your baby’s face will be affected by anything that blocks or reduces the sound waves or causes a shadow, the umbilical cord, baby’s hands and feet.
Babies position also plays a large part in the clarity of the images. If baby is cuddled in to the wall of the womb or placenta your imaging will be hazy. We can try to encourage movement by asking you to roll onto your side, sometimes taking a walk around is also needed. Our policy is to try our best for you on the day, unfortunately this means we may over run on our scan times. Please be patient every client is very important to us.
Our clinic offers pregnancy scans at all gestations from 6 - 40 weeks of pregnancy and all our sonographers are fully trained in clinical & diagnostic ultrasound. All our scans are started with a well-being check of baby and if they feel there could be a problem with baby we will explain as fully as we are able and speak to your midwife with your permission.

What a beautiful experience at the Nottingham branch. We booked for a gender reveal scan and there was ample time to meet our baby from head to toe �. The ladies are lovely so friendly and make you feel at ease. Meeting our little boy was amazing and the rooms are really relaxing. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for all. 5* would highly recommend to book over anyone else. Thank you for such a great experience xx
We've had our 30 weeks 4d scan today and was amazing ! The ladies in the reception were so lovely and chatty. We definitely would recommend that place !
We just got back from a late evening 4D scan I honestly couldn’t recommend this place anymore it’s so lovely they was so friendly and professional and have patients of a saint if bubba isn’t the right way around they wait even till 10pm this evening It Felt so welcoming and warming well worth every single penny we paid and we have came away with the biggest smiles on our faces thank you all so much what a fantastic team you have five stars � �
We had our scan done at Nottingham Window to the Womb.. I can't recommend you enough staff there are lovely and welcoming. We had to go back the week after to get better shots as they weren’t happy with sending me away with the ones we’d got the first time. They couldn’t have done any more to help us get the right photos. Especially seen as we were already at 34 weeks... now he is here. Freddie Joe Jackson born 23rd March 2018
We had a wonderful experience at Window to the Womb, our baby was misbehaving at the first scan and playing peekaboo with us so unfortunately didn't get any photos. But we booked in for a re-scan and we got some fabulous photos! The women here are so so friendly and patient and you are made to feel welcome and special by everyone. Its an experience I won't forget it a hurry! Its also lovely that you can take family along with you! Would recommend this to anyone! Thank you all very much :)
We had a gender scan at 16 weeks. It was such a warm welcoming and magical experience thanks to this wonderful company. The staff were just lovely!
I have had a private scan elsewhere before this, and the whole experience was just awful, so to come here made it all better again and brought back the baby joy! They also made a huge fuss of my daughter and even set it up that she got to tell us the gender, which made her so happy.

My husband and I came for the 4D and well being scan and found the staff really friendly. Was unable to get any pictures on 1st visit so was able to book in for a later date. The sonographer was really good and managed to get some good pictures and was happy to answer any questions.

I had my 16 week gender reveal scan at window to the womb on 21st April and the whole experience was second to none. From the moment me and my family walked into the clinic the excitement kicked in and the ladies welcomed us with big smiles and really made us feel at home. The clinic was very modern and also had a little play section for any children who come along to attend the appointments with you, the whole place had a lovely feeling to it. My appointment was on time and the overall scan was an amazing experience especially the sneak free 4d peak. The sonographers in the scan room were very friendly and made us all feel at ease and joined in the excitement talking about our little bundle of joy that we was all looking at on the scan screens around the room. I would recommend anyone to book this clinic for the 5star service we received and the amazing experience. I purchased a gender balloon from the clinic and popped it outside to reveal if our baby was a boy or girl and they blew the balloon up for us and inserted the correct coloured confetti. They have a great range of gender reveal items available and they also have heartbeat teddy bears you can buy. I will certainly be visiting the clinic again throughout my pregnancy and plan to book a 4d scan when I’m 30 weeks+ to see our little baby again.
Highly recommend! We had our well-being + gender scan today! The staff where friendly and accommodating! Nice calm relaxed environment.
The scan was clear and the 4 free prints where perfect with the option to purchase additional print outs. (Which we did)

Had the well being and gender scan tonight, it was amazing! Can’t thank the staff enough! From start to finish we were made to feel welcome and at ease. All the staff were lovely, so friendly and showed a genuine interest in everything. The scan itself was amazing! The sneak peak in 4D was so special. The photos are fab and we love the heartbeat teddy. After having two boys, finding out we’re having a girl was lovely, I cried �. All in all a truly amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone. Thankyou so much to all the staff
Had our gender and well being scan here today, we also came in my last pregnancy and brought the little one here today to meet his brother or sister (gender revel with family tomorrow lol) As before this was an amazing experience the staff at Nottingham are lovely and thoughtful, and the pictures were lovely I also brought my mother-in-law along today and it was such a wonderful experience for her as she's never seen a scan before. I would recommend this place to anyone, well done Nottingham your doing a fab job � xx
Had my vib scan today. Lovely place and staff. Very enjoyable experience with the music and the movie of the babys movements. Nice little gift bag to take away with my prints also. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's having a baby X
