A great place to sample a large selection of wine with a machine that let have a sip or more if you really like the wine

Great prices, decent selection of beer and wine as well. Looks great after the recent renovation as well.

No longer the same pricing structure, it's now basically an impersonal wine bar. Discovered all of my favourite gins there last year at £2.99 a pop, now that's £5.99 and £6 a bottle corkage on wine. Still cheap if getting the top shelf stuff, and looks fairly good, but not what it used to be.
Looks like all the old staff have left too, which is a shame.

This used to a lovely relaxed regular haunt of mine, but now post-makeover there is only very bland ubiquitous beers on. Probably fine if you just want a drink and are with others wanting wine but nothing to attract people. I suspect they don't want beer drinkers in and it is a deliberate move. Prices now mean you are better off at Chez Bob, The George or The Washington now instead anyway.

Always passed it and wished it looked more inviting... And now it's just been refurbished and it looks great! Now having my first glass of wine here!
