Went yesterday food was fantastic had take away fish and chips they were to die for good old fashioned food all cooked in beef fat mmmmmm

Was the best fish I chips I have ever had! The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews.

This was possibly the best fish and chips we’ve had and we’ve had a few!

Service was excellent very attentive

Good came piping hot, I had the fish chips, bread as butter with tea just a standard and this was enough.

My partner had the super 6 and the quality and freshness was outstanding.

I would highly recommend this restaurant when in Scarborough.

Amazing, fantastic. Gorgeous, best fish and chips I've ever had. Deffinately recommend. If you're in Scarborough, you have to go there. You will not be disappointed

Amazing food and the lady which served us I can’t remember her name but she had blonde streaks in her hair was so kind and friendly

Went here for tea before heading to concert with kids, table was not clean and too small for 4 poor. Service was ok but not fantastic and food quality poor for the price, and not worth it. Vinegar watered down, chips were hard and fish small. Defiantly will not be returning for sit down fish and chips, which is a shame as takeaway side is usually good

I came tonight and will not be visiting again food was average and I wish I had gone to trenches in Whitby over going here

Definitely overpriced. Nice food but £9.95 for a large sausage & chips with pot of tea and bread and butter which was like tesco value bread. The staff were lovely especially Julie who went out of her way to help customers.

Not impressed at all, the chips were awful like they had been reheated, not fresh. The fish was not much better, over cooked and by the colour the fat was ready for a change. Next time I'm in Scarborough I will be trying a different place for my much loved fish and chips

Bit disappointed really! The kids menu was excellent with good fresh food, lots of options and reasonable price.

However £10.95 for normal fish and chips was a bit overpriced. Fair enough you got a pot of tea and bread for that price but so do most of the others across the front- for less money. I wouldn’t mind the price but it wasn’t actually that nice. The bread was a bit dry and the fish was pale and greasy. We have had much better from just down the road

Worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life!!! Chips were over cooked in fact they were dark brown!! Fish was as dry as ghandis flip flop and the mushy peas nearly needed a spade to scrape them out of the pot!!

Bread was obviously cheap stuff it was rock hard!

Way over priced at ridiculous prices! And the place could be doing with a good clean!!!

£10 for sausage and chips ridiculous

Visited today and the food was extremely disappointing and for the amount they charge it is shocking I am amazed they can get away with it. We wanted a battered sausage but this wasn’t on the menu so we opted for Jumbo Sausage, Chips and Curry Sauce. This came with Tea and bread and butter but the standard of produce was terrible and very obviously cheap. I must say the chips were ok, but everything else was awful.

The team members were polite and welcoming but not at one point was I asked if everything was ok with my meal. If I had a been asked I would have expressed my disappointment. And I am sure they would have noticed I only ate a few chips.

Even when we were paying the team member didn’t ask. It was like they knew what the reply would be.

Being a seasonal town with a lot of competition you would think these style of establishments would strive to be at the top of there game.

People visit Scarborough for the the traditional experience of a seaside town so don’t expect the world so I really don’t believe it is a lot to ask for.

Terrible customer service in the takeaway

Ordered the “Jumbo battered sausage” NOT the “LINCOLNSHIRE Jumbo sausage”

And when realised the unnamed Lincolnshire was their battered one, complained.



Girl (who obviously needs to learn to read) and get customer service training was abrupt and rude, “it says that on the menu”

Sorry but it doesn’t.. put your chip scoop down and lift your head up and read what you are serving..



2 of us complained.. the local weird looking Customers / Grockles then had an opinion in the shop (obviously uneducated regulars or family members too) very common!



Plenty of other fish and chip shops on the sea front, proper menus and staff who know how to react to an issue.. please go there instead..



Willie had winked his last time for us!!

Sat in here for twenty odd minutes being ignored, had to ask for the menu but gave up and left in the end.



Was quite a few empty tables, staff upstairs to busy chatting and having an impromptu break at the bar to bother clearing tables and taking any orders, gave up and went to the place opposite the lifeboat house which was VERY good.

Rude staff! (Molly) needs training in customer service, if she talks and treats customers the way she does I’m surprised this place will survive! I recommend she does training in customer service! Will not be returning !

I was expected to take my 1 year old niece out of her pram and the pram to be put away for health and safety reasons. So what if a baby was asleep would we still have been allowed to eat or would we have been turned away? I was also questioned about buying a small portion of fish&chips to share with my niece. The food wasn’t very good quality and was over priced! Could of bought better quality fish&chips in my hometown Leeds!
