Hello all swimming lesson parents and attendees!
Just a reminder that all swimming lessons will run up to Sunday 23rd December 2018 and lessons will restart on Monday 7th January 2019.

User

I’m so glad I joined the Brio in January this year. I love the body pump classes. I love the jacuzzi in the colder months. I’ve even got back to running again on the treadmills. Feeling strong and still motivated. Emma, Katrin and Tomoko are all brilliant teaching the les mills.

My only criticism.... please can we have some more body combat classes in the weekdays in the mornings!!

User

I love going to the classes not only are they helping me to get back into shape, they give me something to look forward to. Meeting new people, making new friends. Thanks to brio I found a very special friend Rayan, we love trying new classes legs bums & tums, yoga, stretch, synrgy & spin. The instructors are amazing, they are very encouraging & a very friendly bunch of people. The reception staff & café staff & the domestics also very friendly. Love The Winsford lifestyle Centre aka Brio X

I don't have a problem with the gym or staff I've been going for years.

My biggest problem is seeing other gym members park in the mother/child spaces when they don't need to use them. They are there for a reason (THINK ABOUT IT)

User

Fab time today at the Wet n Wild with the new inflatable... really friendly staff from reception through to the lifeguards on poolside and clean looked after facilities.

It was my daughter (age 7) and her friends first time and they were nervous at first but were really encouraged by the lifeguards and left full of confidence .

I don’t leave bad reviews, unless they can be used constructively to make things better....

I’ve been a member, on and off, for about 2 and a half years...

The gym is ok... but not great if you turn up and there is a class taking up the majority of the matted area for free weights and weight training... this happens at peak time too... which blows my mind...

obviously, if you’ve come for the bikes or treadmill, it’s not an issue... but really impedes the weight trainers...

The locker rooms and showers are ok...

But the fact that the jacuzzi is always broken and the swimming pool is always full... it begs the question... is £30 a month value for money???

I would say no... and the reason would be this...

Firstly, For the same money, on the exact same membership... if you live in, or don’t mind traveling to Northwich... you get a proper gym, that’s quadruple the size, with better equipment and facilities... so surely if you made a comparison between the two, the Winsford membership should be cheaper???

Secondly, if you compare the place to DW... as the pool and jacuzzi isn’t a viable selling point for The Lifestyle Centre... you can only compare the gyms...

DW is unfortunately a much better equipped gym, for half the price!!!!!!

If I lived in Northwich, I might be ok with £30 a month... but living in Winsford, with such average facilities... £30’a month isn’t value for money, by any stretch of the imagination...

Winsford Lifestyle either needs more money spent on it... or it needs to be more realistic with it’s pricing

Things are always not working like gym equipment rowing machine been out of order for weeks also weighing scales out of order but advised there nothing to do with brio so not sure what the scales are doing in there then?? Can't fault fantastic aqua zumba but shame they don't have instructor for mondays as advertised but always being told no instructor like the small pool lovely and warm for the children

User

Ok I am not a moaner and I don't complain but I feel I need to ventilate.......

I have been swimming for over a year as I thought it would be great exercise and help recovery after a gruelling seven months of chemotherapy. I had a lot of muscle wasteage and after six months of regular swimming three times a week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday's at 6pm) my body started to heal. The Lifestlye Centre for me was great and I was thoroughly enjoying my swimming until recently.

Since the new itinerary kicked in after the summer holidays my routines on a Monday and Tuesday have been spoilt. The pool size has been restricted due to kids swimming on a Monday in the main pool and some kind of training on a Tuesday. Firstly why have the kids swimming lessons been moved to the main pool. Last night no kids were swimming yet the lane was still cordoned off. This was the same last week too. Eventually one of the lifeguards saw sense as the pool was getting busier and busier and encouraged some of us to swim in the lane reserved for the kids lessons. Tonight again because of the restricted size in the pool swimming for me has not been enjoyable in fact it has been quite stressful and instead of swimming as normal for 40 minutes after 20 minutes I decided to call it a day before an accident was heading my way.

I am quite upset that the new itinerary has restricted the size of the pool and all the regular people I see week in and week out instead of smiling and enjoying their swim seem to be suffering the same as me. Quite a number of members like me are complaining as I hear their comments in the showers.

I sincerely hope that someone from the Lifestyle Centre/ Brio Leisure takes the time to read my views and I look forward to some kind of resolution. What used to be a most pleasurable hobby for me is now not so pleasurable. I really don't want to have to find somewhere else to swim but may well have to consider this if this should continue. Why change something that seems to work extremely well?

Just taken my 4 year old swimming for the first time in about 6 months at Winsford. On Entry the auto door into the facilities was not working same as it was 6 months ago. The swimming changing room was particularly dirty and the locker key bands all had the retaining clasps missing. Counted at least 10. Wipes and a dirty nappy in two of the so called family change rooms. (Not the leisure centres fault but still off putting). Just seems like other facilities in the area are provided more money to maintain. People in Winsford and surrounding areas pay the money to use the centre so it would be nice to see some effort in the up keep of the place.

Full of regret after getting my partner and I full year memberships. Was sucked in by a 7 day trial but it was a false snapshot - gym classes always full, jacuzzi NEVER working (making the ‘health suite’ redundant), pool barely available for non WACS swimmers & gym code never works. Stuck here for 12 months now though
