Went to see Father Christmas with my daughter and other family members on Saturday. Even though we had to queue for 15 mins, it was well worth seeing our children's faces. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and they loved their plushed teddy. Had a hotdog, and had a go on the carousel as well as we went shopping in the mall with them instead of ice skating coz they were either too young plus my daughter didnt want to go on the ice. Its their christmas experience and memories is all that matters. No money or gifts can change that.

User

We went today and was a bit worried after seeing some reviews but it turned out to be amazing ! It was myself , partner and 2 year old daughter and we decided to book just the ice skating at 2pm but arrive early for some shopping and maybe see Santa if it wasn't busy ... it was dead! No queuing up no waiting times and it was amazing ! Shopping centre was very busy but we saw Santa who was brilliant with our very shy daughter and skated for 45 minutes with plenty of room! Such a brilliant day out we all loved it ! I suggest to go in the week like we did to avoid queuing! The guy who played Santa today honestly deserves some recognition he was amazing ! Brilliant day we will definitely be coming again next year!

User

We booked for santa at 2pm we queued from 1.40pm and went in pretty much on time the staff was lovely with us all, the kids loved their plushies and I loved the photos and bought two. They were well taken and much better than I could have on my phone. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, we enjoyed the hog roast baps they were only a fiver and massive. Perfect start to our festivities. Thank you

User

We booked Santa for 10am and were seen straight away, the staff were great with my girls and Santa was lovely! The skating was great too, my 4 year old loved it, we had to pay £2 extra for a Seal skate aid on the day which would have been good to know when we booked online but apart from that, we thought it was well organised and would recommend.

User

Visited yesterday with my 2 daughters ages 5 and 6. This was the first year I brought them on my own and was felling slightly apprehensive about trying to skate with them on my own! I would like to say a massive thank you to your staff member who saw I was on my own and came over to help me! He was brilliant! He took one of the girls off on her penguin and zoomed round the rink with her which she absolutely loved. He then swapped over and took my other daughter! They absolutely loved it being spun around and going a lot faster than I could of gone and have been talking about the kind man all night! Thank you for making this experience so much easier for us!

We booked skating at 5 and Santa at 6.30 we had no queues and there were plenty of table to sit and eat!

Lovely night out with my little ladies!!!

User

Visited winter wonderland on the 24th. My mam had a nasty accident on the ice and the care given was second to none, dealing with my 6 yr old who was also on the ice and my mam. The people on the ice and the paramedics!

Santa was also lovely ..... but this is our 3rd visit and nothing had changed so getting a little boring now! X

User

The Three years I have been I have always booked for an early slot 10:30 and skating at 11:00 traveling up from Exeter. Never had an issue with waiting or staff. All in it was a fantastic experience and my daughter loved it. My daughter thought the toy was lovely (doubt you would find a plush toy like that for under £5). £10 for two printed good quality photos plus the digital download was not bad in my books.

User

Just got home from seeing Father Christmas at the Ice Palace. Booked in advance so went straight in during our time slot. All the staff wonderful and friendly, asking questions about our girls (I guess to give the big man a heads up!) Lovely bit of theming inside the castle before seeing the jolliest and sweetest Father Christmas we’ve ever encountered! He was fab. Lovely gift for the girls and all for an extremely good price. Will definitely be back next year! Well done to everyone for making this so magical!

User

Very good sized ice rink, great music, lots of available skating aids and generally a good atmosphere. Had to queue for a long time to get boots and to take them back, they encourage you to have them off ready to hand over, which is good in theory except you have to stand on the soaking wet floor in the cold, which is not great for anyone, especially not children. They tried to finish the session 5 minutes early and we had got on the ice 10 minutes late because of the wait for boots, which meant only 30 minutes actual skating time, which was a little disappointing for the cost. It was also quite crowded which made skating with little ones a little difficult, but we would go again next year.

User

Nothing is ever perfect! But... we queued for a good 20mins to visit Santa in the Ice Castle. The staff were all very friendly and talkative. Probably helped that we had our son who's a cute 5mth old, who seems to make everyone broody lol No you don't get long with Santa but what do u want?! Half hour chat? Cuz I'm sure people would complain about queuing then. Once in with Santa I would of liked to of taken pictures but we were happy to pay the price for a snow globe bauble, a key ring and 2 x pictures framed. (They have many staffs wages to pay after all an my £23 will last forever!) My son & my daughter were both given a luvly teddy, who we named Harry as they got our sons name wrong lol. We seen the funny side of it.

We also ate from one of the food stands. Paying £15 for two pork rolls An two hot chocolates.. so what?! It's bloody Xmas An we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. What's money when ur making memories!! Some people are jus never happy and want everything for nothing.

User

I love cribbs causeway at Christmas queue for Santa a bit long and the children get cold if you've booked a time you should go in at that time and a it should have a covered walkway so the children don't get cold other than that we loved it ice skating is great to .

User

The staff needed a little more life when showing children around the castle, plus if you’re with another family, it may be an idea to be aware that if you’ve queued and gone to see Santa first, you dont Expect to see them at the picture hut before you!!?? Awkward questions from kids answered and my nose grew a little bigger! Santa was lovely, and accommodating. Queuing was fine and the kids were happy x

User

Pre booked & went straight in, Santa was good but only lasted 5 mins and the elf took 3 photos which only one of them was any good and wasn’t allowed to take any myself, if the elf had taken more time to take them seeing they were not busy either I would of ended up with 3 lovely photos of my grandchildren with Santa so yes I’m a bit gutted about that as didn’t know what the photos were like till we went back outside.

User

We went last year and the Santa/ice castle was shocking and would not recommend. Queues in the rain and then to kind of be shoved in and out with Santa! When talking with my 6 year old yesterday about it as he and the older 2 want to go there skating again this year he couldn't even remember that we had seen Santa there! We have booked for skating again this year but not Santa xx

I would recommend the ice rink as it's a lovely big rink and kids loved it but the Santa was appalling!

User

Saturday 18th November. Booked Iceskating for 13.00 and Santa for 14.30. Cost me £81.00 for 4 children and 2 adults. Ice skating finished at 13.45 and we luckily went straight round to start queuing for Santa. We finally saw him at 15.45 !!! Only had 5 minutes with Santa weren’t allowed to take a photo. Ice skating was enjoyable but Santa was definitely Not worth the money or the waiting time. The presents weren’t very good either.

Usually take the children to Cadbury garden center but thought I’d do the Mall for a change. Will not be bothering again !!!

User

I appalled by the way the ice castle (Santa and staff) was towards me and my family . I pre booked to see Santa well over a month ago as I was told he was fantastic .. well how wrong was they my son who is four has a speech disorder and yes people can't always understand what is being said but I found it rude how all the staff ignored him and didn't even try acknowledge what was being said ! The staff was shoving people in and out as quickly as possible I shall not be returning again! My son didn't seem bothered! But me as a parent certainly was! Maybe charge a little more for tickets and get some decent staff and Santa who take there time with kids with disabilities ! I am disgusted with this .

User

Diobolically arranged! Prebooked for both ice castle and skating and had to abandon ice castle as que was so long would have taken well over an hour and would have missed ice skating!! Wouldn't recommend unless they sort their act out! Trying to be greedy and book for way to many people than they can cope with and manage. Told they dont give refunds and two very unhappy girls who missed out on seeing Father Christmas. Winter wonderland at the mall you should be ashamed of yourselves!! Recommend people go to the Tropicana ice rink in Weston instead!!

User

Booked ice skating for 6pm-6:45pm then booked to see santa for 7pm-7:30pm. We started queuing for santa at 6:45pm, we got off the ice early because we knew the queue was bad. The queue for santa was bad when we arrived and I said to a member of staff, will we be OK for our slot as we have booked to see santa 15 minutes after ice skating to which he replied "I'm hoping the staff would have sorted this mess out by then". We didn't get in to see santa until 8pm and we was in there for 2 minutes. Absolutely shocking system and not organised at all! We stood in the freezing cold and it was rainingand we couldn't leave because we promised the children they could see santa! Ideally you need two different queues, one for e-tickets and one for tickets bought on the day and you should also limit the amount of tickets you sell, that way you wouldn't have people waiting around in the freezing cold and the flow of people going through the ice castle would be a lot quicker! Even a marquee would have been nice to cover some of the entrance to the castle! I'd recommend the ice skating and food stalls, but I will never ever recommend the ice castle and will never go again!

User

Booked for santa for 5pm today... spent longer in the queue with a fed up 18 month old than in the actual ice castle!

The ice castle 'tour' lasted about 3 minutes, you are then taken to santa - where you are not allowed to take a photo of your own child as they want to rip you off further having to buy the photos outside!

The food is massively overpriced and nothing special. £15 for a hotdog, chips and Yorkshire pudding!?

For a little bit more money you can get a much better experience with a lot more for your money In many places around bristol.

Would not recommend this to anyone and would not pay 50p for this let alone £5.50!
