Withern Mill Trout Farm

Went fishing on the 22nd of September. Brown of 4.2lb and 2 nice rainbows . Well managed and lovely setting. Never made it down to lake 5 as got hooked on 4 well worth the trip.

My husband and I stayed on the CL in our motorhome over the early May bank holiday. Our camping pitch was hard standing with a large grass area to pitch an awning or tent as well as sit outside and enjoy the weather and the views. The camping pitches are set back away from the fishing area which avoids day visitors / fishermen accessing the area. Access to the site was also easy as the road wasn't narrow. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and met us as we arrived.
My husband also enjoyed some very successful fishing.
Not being a fisherman myself I walked around the village on Saturday and found that a regular bus service runs from a nearby stop to both Louth and Mablethorpe from Monday to Saturday (except bank holidays). The site is also only 6 miles from the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe (with Louth 8 miles away and Skegness not too far either) so it is an excellent base. We enjoyed a day at Mablethorpe on Sunday. We were able to park the motorhome without hassle at Becks carpark across from the promenade and was also pleased to find that although part of the beach is dog free there is also a large area that is dog friendly.
