Visited today to get some first shoes for my daughter and the service was first class , the lady we had made sure that the shoes fitted perfect ! She was lovely as well I didn't catch her name and I wish I did .

Used to bring both our girls here for footwear, the service was always brilliant. There may be queues at the start of term but it was always worth the wait. Would always recommend French and Sons.

Took all three of my boys for fittings after getting lots of bad "best guesses". Great service and great shoes plus a military discount which was most welcome. So nice to have people who actually know what they're talking about too!

The lady that assisted me was fantastic!

She was brilliant with my son and made him feel very comfortable!

The lady was very helpful and provided excellent service! I felt bad as she was running here there and everywhere looking for different shoe styles for me! Thank you �

They are the best place to buy school shoes. They have replaced 2 pairs of shoes, no questions asked, just faulty shoes, in the last 3 months. Very happy!

Just bought our 1 year old sons first pair of shoes and had a fantastic experience. Very impressed with the choice of shoes on offer and great attention to detail with the fitting. Can't wait to get his next pair from here!

I've always had excellent shoes and customer service from here. I've been buying my shoes from here all my life. My grandmother always used to say you can trust Frenches, they won't let you out the door if the shoe doesn't fit. And she was right, they ensure you get the best fitting shoe and they actually measure your feet, unlike random chain stores who just put things on racks and leave you to it. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I have been using this shop since I was a child and I now take my own children there. Today’s service was amazing. Two very happy boys sprinting down the road in their new trainers and a happy mummy with a new pair of shoes too. Thank you so much. You are the best.

I have been to French's today, and had a great experience! I took my aunt Anne, who has an unusual size foot! (9 1/2 a a ). We were greeted with friendly and helpful staff. Our lady (sorry I didn't get her name), knew exactly what brands of shoes to go to for fit we needed, and French's had a good selection! Anne got a choice it was great!

We came away with three pairs, so if you need the same size I'd ring first to make sure they have had a new delivery!

I would definitely recommend them, they are definitely worth the visit.

Great range of shoe, far wider with more available for troublesome shaped feet! My parents struggled with me as a child and we always found something here. Now I bring my children for there shoes too.

First time bringing my son as needs new school shoes for starting secondary school. Extremely friendly knowledgeable staff and although it was busy we didn't have to wait too long. After having my sons feet measured at another well known shop it would appear they hadn't measured him correctly! A great choice of shoes and resonably priced too. Will come back in the future now and highly recommend your shop.

First class service, we were really starting to panic as my daughter has to have Orthotics in her school shoes and is starting secondary school, the young lady just said no problem within minutes we had perfectly fitting shoes. = one happy mum.

Both children have wide feet with high in step. French’s have always been great with their fitting and helping when we’ve had the occasional problem with shoes after buying them (manufacturers faults).

A retail experience that's now a very rare thing, a beautifully kept shop knowledgeable and attentive staff the best and only place you should be buying good quality shoes.
