Welcome to West Lancashire Yacht Club.
Our Club is located on the Marine Lake at Southport which provides safe sailing waters for sailors of all abilities. We are a family orientated Club and have a variety of sailing and social activities throughout the year. Our Clubhouse has accessible facilities.

What a week for WLYC members, the Ullswater walking and sailing weekend well attended if a little wet, on the Offshore front, one member sailing in the Sonata Nationals in Scotland, another couple in the Ireland Dingle race, 2 more in the 3 Peaks Yacht Race, and 10 of our members preparing for the round the island (Wight) race in a Volvo 70. Several excellent scores from members competing on the sailing circuit in Streakers, Lasers and Toppers, Add to this the Lloyd Hayes Nat...ional Junior Travellers (pictured) held at Club on Saturday, regular Club racing on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as the social sailing on Wednesday lunch times and all the junior / adult training and our 125th year is proving very busy on both socialising and sailing fronts.
