It is estimated that there are only 700,000 African elephants and 25,000 Asian elephants left in the wild. This is why is it so important to help charities such as the International Elephant Foundation who's conservation work is vital to the protect this majestic animal.

Went to the park on a Saturday, wheather was beautiful. Loved every minute with a 7 and a 12 year old boy. Lots to do and the animals weren’t shy, some were crossing the road by our car. Loved the bird show - amazing day out - well worth it!

User

Went on the elephant experience yesterday and it was totally amazing! Got free lunch, fed the giraffes and then met the elephants up close! :) best Sunday ever, I would highly recommend doing this experience! The elephant keepers were clearly passionate about their job and were great with the elephants. Our guide for the VIP experience was great, he knew a lot about every animal we saw and he was friendly! :D loved every minute.

User

Well I thought the park was great.

Had the up front and personal experience with the Lemurs and off road tour.

I am visiting from South Australia and was very impressed with the park. Food prices are expected to be expensive in these places so we took our own food. I did not find any untidiness etc as a previous reviewer has stated.

Wonderful day out with my English family.

If anyone ever gets to South Australia please go and see Monarto Safari Park, just out of Adelaide.

User

Visited on 6th June to celebrate 2 years since my daughter's last chemo. We had a lovely day. The animals were all very obliging in making a show. The most fantastic thing was seeing the wolves. They didn't showed up when we visited last time. A bit hot in a car without aircon but eh what can you do, certaintly not open the window lol. Food was reasonably priced for this type of place and was also nice. The only slight critism is that there is no veggie salad bowl option.

User

Visited for the first time on Saturday 9th June with my hubby and can safely say it won't be the last time. A fantastic experience. The park is beautifully kept and the animals are so clearly well cared for. Thank you Woburn Safari Park for adding to a lovely weekend break.

User

The whole experience is amazing, the fact that you can get so close to the animals and the beautiful creatures is just amazing getting within touching distance of the creatures that you dont get to see is just brilliant. Also the animals have so much room and not locked in you can tell how well theyre looked after and you can tell how happy they are. If i could rate it at 10 i would.

User

My son took me today -as a special treat -mainly to meet the elephants

I had the most amazing time especially as I love elephants so much! To touch one and to be up to one so close it truly made my day -a wonderful experience -and the drive through safari was excellent too -will definitely be back

User

My son had the junior keeper for a day experience.. my son worked with Harvey who was friendly knowledgeable and gave my son a fantastic experience.. he was up close with the animals, feeding and mucking out. My son had a fantastic morning and would absolutely recommend this experience to others.

User

Had the VIP Elephant Experience as a surprise gift....loved every minute!

Emma our guide greeted us, was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Started with a good choice of lunch , followed by the Jeep Safari which was great, Emma was able to go ' off road ' to get very up close and personal to the brown bears, rhinos, lions and tigers...great fun! Great photos! Then the best bit...walking with the ellies in what was described as in 'The Duke of Bedfords back garden'. The ellies were totally free to roam, eat what ever leaves, branches or grass they liked with their keepers and us by their side! Wonderful!! I believe the staff are well trained and truly respect and care for the ellies. Fab day, would not hesitate to recommend .

User

Had a wonderful day out yesterday. Loved it, of course wasnt easy to see some animals such as lions but they were doing what lions do and kept cool under trees and bushes, just sleeping around. Just to be that close and see all animals was a privilege and exciting. Yes its a bit pricey but with all the upkeep and work that is done, I think its worth while.

User

Had a great time at the safari today. Was just myself and my wife, we did the road safari twice and spent hours wandering the foot safari and sat in on several talks throughout the day. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. My only critique would be the 3D cinema. The film didn't make sense in the context of following the Sea Lion talk and, honesty, the film isn't very good. I think that portion does need consideration before continuing with it. Other than that, a great day out!

User

Had a fabulous day, loved seeing the bears close up, and the monkeys were brilliant helping a baby one across the road. The giraffes were really entertaining. Only disappointment is we didn't see a single meerkat. Other than that very impressed at how happy and healthy all the animals looked. We will be back.

User

Absolutely loved it here, such a wide range of animals, loads of parks and picnic areas, plus a cute little train ride and a pond you can pedal around. Its the perfect day out, can’t wait to go back xxxxx

User

had to good day but wished we could of have more time to spend there

not impressed with the food I had there asked if I would like side salad with my jacket potato I replied yes got served 3 pieces of rocket leaves skin on jacket potato was rock hard so all I could eat was potato it self

User

We visited today and spent a full day there. It was worthwhile doing the car safari first, we weren't lucky enough to see the tigers or bears but we did see Lions, monkeys, wolves, elephants, giraffe, bison. We got the all inclusive ticket which included guide book, water ,meal and drink, and entry to the sealion show. I have to say we all had a really lovely day but must comment on 2 particular things that we encountered as a family. Firstly as a lady that has to use a walking stick, there was a distinct lack of seating around the park!! Plenty was available at all the eating venues but none available around the Penguins, Sealion Beach, Lemurs and as all of this is negotiated down and back up a hill it was a bit of a mission. Secondly we had a fab time watching the Sealion show but had a very different experience gaining access safely! When you go into the theatre part there are steps down to the front and slightly subdued lighting the steps we found to be quite dangerous as they are 2 different levels! The steps seem to be in pairs the top is carpeted in dark carpet and the second is metal but because of the way they are done the pair are made to look like 1 step. I tripped and nearly fell and once seated we watched 14 other people trip as well, luckily nobody fell but I do think for safety reasons this should be addressed. Having said that it did not detract from us having a lovely day and would definitely recommend.

User

Park is great, the kids loved the activities but I felt the little cafes are a rip off. It didn’t ruin our day but overpriced and not great quality.

User

Had a wonderful day, apart from my grandson got very up set he couldn't go on the Swan boat ride as to small he was not the only child that was turned away crying as hight restriction unstand health and safety but what about if got life jackets for little one's

User

With a two hour car journey to get to Woburn we were looking forward on arrival to grab a quick hot drink and then go on the driving path. The refreshments hut looked like a creepy crawly enclosure and none of us dare venture in!!

We proceeded to the road safari and it was lovely to see the animals out and about. Queuing inside the road safari is expected and ignorant drivers cannot be helped. This was probably the best bit of the day!!

We went onto the foot safari .....

It went downhill from there the park was dull and dirty in appearance. A lot of the signs were so faded and damaged you couldn’t read them. The toilets were filthy .... yes the male attendant was sweeping the floor but the doors were black with finger prints and not just from that day. My coffee from the machine had lumps of milk in it, when I took it back I was shrugged at. The tables were not being cleared or wiped . A lot of machines were out of order including the ice cream one. Overall very poor hygiene .... the floor to the indoor play area was disgusting and when I brought it up I was told it was the green teams job. A lot of the animals did not seem to be in their enclosure ie the porcupine,Shetland pony.

A lot of the attractions you had to cross over roads and car parks to get to.

The high ropes part was very over priced at £6.99 per child ... especially as there was no attendant encouraging or guiding the children . At one point the whole thing came to a stop as one child was too scared to continue and still nobody came.

The attendants that we came across on our visit did not seem to be able to offer up any facts or info on the animals.

It’s very overpriced to get in and once you are there. I would of much rather of visited Colchester zoo and will not return to Woburn safari.

I am fully aware that Woburn safari will try and fight their corner but I have photographic evidence and feel they need a visit from EHO.

User

Visited the other day to have a poor day out.

Took the grandchildren for a surprise but found not much to entertain them and for 84 quid entrance was a bit over priced.

Toilets to start the day were in a good condition but as the day went on the worse they got.

Mini shops shut around site

No outside displays apart from the 🦅

Seem to be lack of monkey 🐵 in the closures when drove through

Just seemed it was not up to full staff quota and things were just missed.

Will not rush to go back anytime soon.
