Wolverhampton Country Songwriters Night
About Wolverhampton Country Songwriters Night
A night of original music featuring singer songwriters from across the world.
Wolverhampton Country Songwriters Night Description
It all started with a conversation between Jim Duncan and Emma Swindells when Emma was invited onto Jim's radio show (WCRfm) after performing at Country 2 Country 2015.
Both were passionate to help country music develop within the UK and the idea of a regular Country Night within the Midlands was formed. Combining Jim's extensive experience organising the annual Wolvestock festival and Emma's enthusiasm for modern Country music the Wolverhampton Country Night was born.
What happens on the night?
Thanks to the support of Wolverhampton Civic, we are based at the wonderfully converted tractor shed at Bantock Park, Wolverhampton.
Each monthly session offers 4 Acts for £5 with a licenced bar and a free car park. The atmosphere is always relaxed and intimate with artists frequently commenting on the warmth and enthusiasm of the audience.
What music is played?
We are passionate about country music, but acoustic and folk singer-songwriters are also welcome.
If you would like to play, please see the website: www. wolvescountry.com

How lucky are we to hear quality live Country Music each month and last Saturday was no exception. The very talented The Brave Sons of Elijah Perry, Megan Lee Music and Pete Boddis thoroughly entertained and impressed our loyal audience. Thanks to the wonderful musicians and to the audience who filled our Bantock home :)

Last Saturday was the perfect way to finish the Country Night sessions for 2018 :) Ash Cooper and the ACB rocked Bantock Park! The lovely Melanie Greggain entertained us with her beautiful voice and authentic lyrics and the night finished in rousing style with our home grown Emma Swindells Band complete with Rich on bass:) Thank you all for a wonderful night. Bring on 2019!
So sad to hear that the performance by Ash and the boys at our Country Night on Saturday 24th November will be their last as the ACB. Ash Cooper and the ACB played on our first ever Country Night back in 2015 and have entertained us with performances each year since then. Ash is bringing the full band and it would be wonderful to pack the house! Find your marker pen and put a BIG exclamation mark in the diary for that night as a reminder to join Ash and the boys as they party (as only the ACB can party!) along with lovely Melanie Greggain and your hosts Emma Swindells Band :)
So excited to announce that our last Country Night for 2018 will feature our good friends Ash Cooper and the ACB, Melanie Greggain and Emma Swindells. Hope you are able to join us on Saturday 24th November for what promises to be an awesome celebration of Country Music. Doors open at 7.00pm, music from 7.30pm and lights out at 10.30pm! Bar on site and free parking.
