stayed 5 nights and had the best hostel experience ever!

clean rooms, good standard, yummi breakfast and best of all the Wombar -

had so much fun there and made so many friends.

Wombats offers free walking tours, late night pizza, yoga and is well located.

Thanks wombats for this amazing time :)

User

We met wonderful people there (customers and staff). Rooms are very functional and there is plenty of services and space to rest in common areas. There is a canteen and a fully equipped kitchen downstairs. And the bar is amazing (great space, good drinks, nice bartender/maid/DJ, foosball/beer pong/ping pong/pool tables, ...). Awesome place! :-)

User

Very good stay in this Hostel. Everything was clean and the staff is so helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back!

User

The best hostel in London! The location is superb, within a couple of minutes walking you reach the Tower and the Thames or a convenient tube stop bringing you to all the other touristic or party hotspots. It is located close to the East End, which is the best part of London :)! All staff are supernice, competent and always ready to help with anything. The rooms are spacious, with gorgeous bathrooms and really comfy beds. Breakfast is delicious and the best value for money. The common areas are equally smashing, especially the Wombar serving drinks every night and giving everyone the opportunity to meet other travellers. I will be back for sure!

User

The best hostel in London and the cleanest hostel ever in my life!!! The breakfast is fabulous and you can eat all you want! Actually the best hostel that I have stayed in my life!!!!

User

I stayed here on 19th June, I am a Children University mentor it was a place to sleep. The bedroom was lovely and clean, staff where nice, breakfast was lovely, and I loved the kitchen area. Definitely will return with my family.

User

I spent one night here, and I have to say this was the best hostal I've ever stayed at and I've stayed in multiple hostels. What makes this such a great place to stay?

1: The staff are amazing and happy to help with anything.

2. The place is super clean and spacious.

3. Great showers

4. The bar area was a great place to meet people and had bar games.

5. It had quiet areas, in which you can chill out.

6. Good Wifi

7. A variety of breakfast options

8. Good location in London.

9. Lockers in the room were very high tech, you were given an electric keycard and everything.

10. It just had good vibes.

It's hard to explain how good this place was, you just have to go and stay there. I only spent one night, but I will return soon.

p.s You even get a free drink at the bar.

User

I spend one night there, actually 3 hours to be precise xD and I really love the atmosphere: you can enjoy with a book or a computer but you also have a bar ;).

Also a big plus for the security locks!

The hostel is clean and when I will be close by, I will definetely come back.

User

I met some of the most amazing people there, from the staff to the other people from all over the world traveling. The experience was by far the time of my life and I will be back again.

User

Had amazing time! Wombats was the best great people great staff and a great bar scene tons of fun

User

Great design, bar, kitchen, staff, beds, extra bathrooms, clean, good diverse crowd, good wifi, towels, even decent price. The one downside is the worst toilet paper I've ever used in my life! Get ready for some exfoliation!

User

Best hostel in London by a long way, and I have stayed in a lot. Amazing staff, clean, friendly, and best of all, an awesome bar in the basement to meet fellow travelers

User

Best hostel ever. Well located, amazing rooms, multicultural and friendly staff. Massive bar in the basement, great place to make new friends if you are traveling by yourself.

User

Awesome place

Love it !

User

Clean and cosy place to stay. The atmosphere was pleasant, at breakfast, in the room, in the lobby and at the bar. Only the noise of the construction site opposite the hotel was not nice. Thumbs up for Wombat's hostels!!!

User

if they did not give me the first night they gave me a bad room (all at 1:20 pm) and the fire would not sound the next day, I would have given 5 points on a scale of 5, but I only give 3 points The pub is great!

User

I liked:

-Free wifi

- own charging station next to bed

- nice big space in rooms

- helpful staff

- cheap washer and dryer

- Beautiful atmosphere

- breakfast

-can rent a fan

Didn't like

- pizza took 45min

-cocktail tasted gross

-no ventilation in shower

-smokers standing right outside the doors (hard to breathe)

User

Good; newly renovated rooms, nice bathrooms, great bar and kitchen area, pizza, great way for kids to be able to afford to travel

Bad; construction/road noise out window (open because it was so hot), way too hot and no fans, some mattresses were gross, waiting for that one girl who takes a 20 minute shower when you've got to pee, small lockers, elevators didn't work.

User

Here is my recent review. Worth a read:

The only good thing about this hostel was that it is clean and also the janitors and cleaners were great. The staff in customer and front desk are space cadets who only cared about youtube videos.

Bad things

- every 5am the fire alarm went off in room 008 ground floor. Woke all of us up 3 mornings in a row.

- rude staff. I told a Spanish staff member about it. He helped intially. Though when I complained again as it continued he asked me “What do you want me to do about it?”

- the front lobby has all its windows opened at night. Meaning all the chain smokers who smoked after 10pm had smoke coming into the lobby. Meaning I had to passively smoke. I was sick and it just exacerbated my cough.

- looked like you guys were serving alcohol to 15 year olds. An Austrian traveller and I observed this in the bar.

- they didn't have a pub crawl available meaning that there didn't seem to be such a cohesiveness of people to make friends straight away. Their activities are very limited.

In all honesty. I would rate this hostel in the negative 1 star if I had the choice. I have been travelling for 7 weeks and this hostel was the worst out of the 10 hostels i rated 4 stars and above. I and 2 other guys from Vancouver also said this. One Vancouver guy even cancelled his last night. And when he was asked why he told them. It was then met with hostility and this hipster look.

It seems like people who work here cannot take constructive criticism. Beware if you are assigned to room 008 ground floor. You will not get a decent nights sleep.

Please Wombats Hostel. If you want to speak about this in further detail message me or at least respond to my PM through Facebook to which you have not responded to and it has been a day.
