Well winter is upon us although it is very mild for this time of year, first of all myself and Del would like to thank everyone who helped us clean up the top moorings for the burning weekend much appreciated, all our vacant moorings are now full and we would like to welcome our new boaters to Woodend Lock moorings, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our long term boaters for there continued support here. In 2018 we have had boater friends go back to bri...cks and mortar and we wish them well in there new found direction in life. We would also like to thank all the people and fellow boaters who have inquired about mooring with us during 2018 and sorry we could not accommodate your needs in some cases, the demand for moorings is significantly higher this year probably because of the C&R Trusts clamp down who knows but mooring inquiries have been well up. When moorings become available in future we will list them here and also at the cottage on a first come first served basis. You will be aware that over the next few weeks HS2 is starting to plant out an ancient woodland in the field adjacent the top moorings allowing a boaters access through from the car park to the boat moorings so be aware when parking not to obstruct anyone or anything during these works, also if your a dog owner please be aware the deer are spending a lot of time in this area recently so keep your dog under control in this situation when leaving your car so not to disturb them. Hi all 2018 boating season is just around the corner, first we would like to thank all boaters who have enquired about mooring at Woodend Lock moorings. All vacant moorings have now been taken. Any future vacancies and mooring details will be listed on this site and will be allocated on a first come first served basis subject to terms and conditions being met. We would again like to take this opportunity to thank all our moorers for their continued support here at Woodend.
... You may have noticed that we are having some building works carried out on and around the cottage area over the next few weeks so please take care when accessing your boats due to safety fencing & builders vans etc, please accept our apologies during these works.
All that's left to say is enjoy your boating during 2018 please feel free to approach Del or myself if you require any assistance with anything and thank you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR To all Woodend Lock mooring boater's and fellow narrow boater around the system.😀.

A winter wonderland has arrived at woodend lock, at least someones enjoying it and braving the weather...

Amongst our new Moorers we have Eve Morris a very talented young musician, she is one half of the duo We are the Giant, along with Chris Harding. Who are currently doing their winter tour in and around Derby and the Midlands. You can see their up and coming gigs on their facebook page or press the call button and we can put you in touch with them, so please go and support them if you are in the area, you wont be disappointed. Also they are available for events on the canal system and even private functions at home !

Due to our workload it has been a long time since we posted a catch up at Woodend. Vacancies At the moment we only have one 50' mooring available, non residential, water and electric available from £1.10 per ft per month. We've had boaters leave and go back to bricks and mortar, having spent many years on the canal system and we have had a boater leave due to mobility issues etc but i am sure once a boater deep down, always a boater like ourselves, they will always be welc...ome back to Woodend at any time. On the plus side we have had new boats and new friends join us and we take this opportunity to welcome them to Woodend. We would also like to thank all our long term moorers for their continued support.

Nice very rural lovely and peaceful only short walk to fradley junction where there is a pub serving meals and a lovely cafe which is open all day definitely recommend it here

Love the mooring. Quiet and well away from main road, but with good access. Friendly people.
