Liz Ackerley known for her illustration works has also been developing her mixed media & collage works apace, including making her own printed papers. She will have a range of exciting new works for sale at the Art Fair this weekend, including original collage works inspired by the theme of ‘home’ and limited edition prints. She will also be selling her Christmas cards and sharing some of her recent wedding illustrations.

Liz Ackerley aka LizsScribbles has been super busy preparing for the Art Fair this weekend! She'll be selling prints, originals, some original collage pieces and Christmas cards in packs of six. You can find Liz in Mill 2, Studio number 307.

At our winter Art Fair next weekend 10/11 November, artist Hugh Winterbottom will have a selection of his vibrant original paintings on show as well as limited edition prints and cards for sale. He will be donating 10% of his takings to Emmaus Mossley. You can find Hugh in Mill 2 Studio 317.

At the Art Fair on 10/11 November, make sure you pop into Colcanya in Unit 218 on the first floor of Woodend Mill 2. It's a real Aladdin's Cave with coasters, table tops, signs and other laser engraved items including Christmas stuff. Just say "Col can ya' make me this?" and Colin will see what he can do!

Diana Terry will be selling A4 prints of this at the art fair 10/11 November. She will be in studio 209. She will donate 50% to the mountain rescue team

Less than four weeks now till our winter open studios event and Christmas art fair!
As part of our partnership with Emmaus Mossley we are hosting an exhibition of photographs focusing on homelessness in Manchester by Isaac Jordan.
We are also offering a gift wrapping service where small donations can be made to this worthy charity. Our aim and ethos is to support our local community in this festive period which can be difficult for many.
... There will also be workshops and card making for the kids so plenty for all ages to see and do!

One of our artists Sheila Meeks has been capturing summer by the sea in Anglesey. More recently she has moved onto the more muted shades of Autumn/Winter near the Pennine hills.

Exactly one month to go before Woodend Studios Winter Art Fair on the weekend of 10/11 November.
All the artists and makers have been beavering away in their studios all through the long, hot summer. None more than Sue Aggarwal who has been developing some new ideas that she's excited to unveil at the Fair in November. In addition to paintings and lampshades in a vibrant new colour palette, she will be showcasing her new translucent works which, when backlit by a lamp or window, reveal her colourful, expressive brushstrokes in all their glory.

We're opening our studios and workshops once again, just in time to bag a gift for Christmas!
Come and see what we've been creating inside our studios this summer. Hundreds of artworks and craft items for sale. PLUS we'll gift wrap them as well if you'd like to make a donation to the locally based homelessness charity EMMAUS Mossley.

So much talent, Mossley has got something to be justly proud of.

Met Kirin, John, John, Gordon, Karen and Sarah at Woodend for the firstime today. Was very impressed! Now looking forward to mutually beneficial contact on behalf of Tameside College starting with the Open Studios event weekend of April 18/19.

It's true what Chris Cyprus says, a real hidden gem and with a real feel of the outside world coming in (the area was one of the busiest cotton producing industrial areas a little more than 100 years ago and now relics like the Woodend Mill have their edges blurred a little by the town and the wildlife creeping back)

Great location where you can meet many talented artists in their studios and see their excellent work�

Fantastic place

Called in at the fair yesterday and had a look round. We bought some marvellous place mats (one with a storm trooper on!) everyone was really lovely and chatty with me and Ruby (9). Marvellous place :) :)
