Woodheads Cafe

visited Thursday with my sister. First time had meal there. Both had jacket potatoes. The food was excellent but could have been a touch hotter. The service was excellent and the café was exceptionally clean with a friendly atmosphere. Will certainly visit again next time in Chesterfield.

Magnificiant gluten free food. Friendly staff. 1st place we think of when out.

Lovely place for meals,the meat and potato pie is amazing! My children love it here and will only go here for food if we in town.

A simple and unpretentious venue with good food

Often pop in here when I'm in Chesterfield. There is usually a woman with shortish hair serving and she's fine. Yesterday it was a different member of staff & I wasn't happy. Her daughters were in as customers and there was a lot of loud family talk. The member of staff also mentioned a few times how she was ill with a cold & cough that wouldn't go. Not what you want to hear when you've ordered food!

ordered 2 kids meals the chips and chicken nuggets was so greasy, the only thing the kids ate was the peas I had a bacon sandwich which was mostly fat :( very disappointing! It does need a good scrub up as the place is quite gross, old and fusky :/ won't return unfortunately!

Went in this afternoon was very disappointed with the food and general cleansing of their glassware. I ordered meat and potato pie with mash.... Pastry wasn't very good and the mash was powered....not good... To add insult to injury the glass they served my drink in was extremely dirty....I previously would have recommended this establishment but not after your efforts today. Also I might add I mentioned the fact that the glass was dirty and I was still charged for the drink that I didn't/couldn't drink.

Today a friend and I called at the Woodheads Cafe in Chesterfield. We decided to sit downstairs as we both suffer with back pain. I ordered 2 items off the lunch menu and 2 Latte's. The employee short changed me and I corrected her on the £1 short change. She got a £1 coin out of the till and LOBBED it towards my open hand, The money missed my hand and went straight into one of the mugs of Latte. To my shock and bewilderment, she picked up a spoon and dragged the £1 coin out of the bottom of the mug and tossed it on the side. She then had the nerve to pass me the mug of Latte. I went back to my friend and told her what had happened and she said not to bother. The drink was not touched by either of us. I only wish I had gone to management and reported her for her unhygienic behavior.

I think a word with health and hygiene is the only option to take in this case.
