Meet Jade Park. (Sorry, sorry, sorry Jade, please don't hurt us. We promise we'll come to your next dance school audition.)
Jade does love her family but having to watch her mum's favourite film might put a bit too much strain on her relationships with dad Terry and brother Noah.

Meet Noah Park. He loves his family and his dinosaurs. With his mum's memorial coming up he thought it would be a good idea to watch their favourite film.
Is that the sound of a Triceratops? (Noah's favourite)

User

Time to meet the family!! Terry Park is a cautious man and just wants what's best for his 2 children, Jade & Noah, after the death of his wife Madeleine. They come together to watch their favourite film in memory of her & with it comes a trip down memory lane. Come join the Park family as they take you on their journey filled with family squabbles & stomping dinosaurs. Maybe you'll see a T-Rex.

*Disclaimer: the cute dog is pure clickbait (though she did help a lot with building the set). There are no actual live animals in this show. But there are three actors with boundless energy and wonderful characterisation; there is singing, dancing, a ukulele, a glockenspiel and a rap that includes the word “cretaceous.” And there is a beautiful family story that will make you laugh and cry when you least expect it. And of course Jurassic Park nostalgia. All the Jurassic Park nostalgia. . .

A Playreading Night open to all members and non-members. Free event. A chance to practice your sight-reading skills, get to know a new play and meet people (and possibly continue the discussion afterwards in the pub!). This evening we will be reading
An Inspector Calls by J B Priestley.
An Inspector Calls was written by J. B. Priestley and first performed in 1945. It is one of his best known works for the stage, and is considered to be one of the classics of mid-20th century ...English theatre. The play's success and reputation has been boosted in recent years by a successful revival by director Stephen Daldry for the National Theatre with a national tour and a BBC production in 2015.
The play is a three-act drama, which takes place on a single night in April 1912, focusing on the prosperous upper middle-class Birling family, who live in a comfortable home in the fictional town of Brumley, "an industrial city in the north Midlands". The family is visited by a man calling himself Inspector Goole, who questions the family about the suicide of a young working-class woman, Eva Smith (also known as Daisy Renton). Long considered part of the repertory of classic "drawing room" theatre, the play has also been hailed as a scathing criticism of the hypocrisies of Victorian and Edwardian English society and as an expression of Priestley's socialist political principles. The play is well known to many teachers, teenagers and their parents as a GCSE text!

This was one of the most entertaining pantomimes I have attended. The entertainment was at a continuous level and did not dip but remained on a high. A wonderful family evening with children and adults thoroughly enjoying themselves all the way through.

User

Saw "Jack and the Beanstalk", but the one where it all goes wrong, with my daughter.

We both absolutely loved it and laughed loads.

User

Excellent performances from everyone. I had a huge grin all the way through! Good luck for the rest of the run.

User

Did we enjoy Jack and the beanstalk? Oh yes we did.
