Notice to all Bagwood anglers: It is circulating that the lakes will be closed this weekend for fishing. There has been a miscommunication of dates on our part and lake will be open as usual. Apologies for the confusion

Due to snow covering both courses we are unable to open this morning. We will update conditions for the rest of this week later today.

Monday 5th March we will be OPEN as usual.
As the snow has thawed drastically over the last 24 hours we will be able to open both courses tomorrow for play.
Both courses will be wet under foot as can be expected, but are playable. Please remember hedgehog or winter wheels are required on all trolleys.

Courses Closed for the weekend.
With no sign of the course conditions changing, both will be closed over the weekend. Hopefully with warmer weather coming this weekend conditions may be safer for next week.

Course Closed Wednesday and Thursday!
With a snow covering and no signs of the weather warming up enough over the next 48 hours the course will be closed today and tomorrow. Ground conditions very treacherous and unsafe for play.

What a difference 24 hours makes!

We are OPEN. Both courses are fully open with snow mostly gone.
Conditions are wet under foot but greens and tees are in good condition.

Due to snow covering and treacherous conditions under foot both courses are now closed for the day.

*Hedgehog or Winter Wheels Required from 1st November*
In order for us to keep the condition of the course as dry and playable as possible over the winter months, all trolleys being used at Woodlands must have hedgehog or winter wheels from the start of November.
Each year at this time of year it is a huge help to the green staff in keeping the course in top condition due to the reduced traction these provide.
... Hedgehog trolleys are available to hire for ┬Ż3 from the professional shop and wheel covers are available to buy for ┬Ż25.

THE MASTERS COURSE IS NOW FULLY OPEN!!
The new holes on the redeveloped Masters Course are now open for play. The brand new 4th, 16th, 17th and 18th holes are currently being played under the pick and place ruling.

Hello all,
Can we please remind all visitors that hedgehog or winter wheels are required on all trolleys throughout the winter period. We have recently had a few questions as to why we do this. It does vastly improve the ground conditions of the course during the winter due to the less traction on the ground. This allows us to always stay on the full course without temporary greens or tees.
... Pull trolleys are available for ┬Ż2 to hire.
We do have a number of Hoppa sets to buy in the shop for your own trolley at ┬Ż22 per pair. Alternatively we have Motocaddy attachment wheels available for ┬Ż59.95.

We held a society event at woodlands yesterday, the courses are in fantastic condition with the greens better than most memberships courses in the area..the staff supplied breakfast and a ploughmanŌĆÖs lunch for twenty which was was great and the chips just kept on coming !!... thank you to all at woodlands, we will be back..

The best value for money golf courses I have ever played. The green keeping staff do an amazing job to keep it in great condition. If it wasnt a predominately pay and play course I would join as a member 100%!

Signature is a great course for all handicaps and for my lad who's just starting out, nice holes challenging holes great course!!

Signature course was excellent to play greens are like velvet, fairways were well cut and rough was well maintained not like some places where you lose your ball under the left behind cuttings can not wait to play again

Nice course, enjoyed it. It holds the bad weather well, wide open fairways, plenty of dog legs and hazards. Clubhouse has a nice pub like feel so not overly pretentious.

Lots of water here but I loved it. Maybe because I played really well. Nice flat T's and lovely greens. I will be back

Just finished our society day, the staff were more than helpful through the whole process.

The weather was against us but the course was in good condition especially the greens and tees.

First time at the club and having not swung a club for a couple of years, had a brilliant day, great course, lovely relaxed atmosphere, can't wait to go back. ­¤æŹ­¤Å╗

Excellent two courses for those who are experienced golfers as well as those just beginning it's got something for everyone been here about 10 years and always something different when you play it

2 very good courses, pay and play, nice clubhouse and handy location!

Great little club and I got straight on at 1pm on a glorious Friday afternoon. (06 Jul 18). Played the Masters in 77. Fairways dry but the greens were a little slow but the surface was excellent. Definitely worth a visit or four.

Course was in excellent condition, great value for money. Watch out for the bloke behind the bar, asked for a pastie his reply was no, then asked for a well done bacon roll his reply was bacons bacon just eat it. If your just playing golf I would highly recommend it.
