Higginsons butchers - the best in the world - fact ! Our dear friends Stuart and Pauline provide you all with the best BBQ food you can buy for a night in the Artic Hut.
... Hazelmere is pure joy to purchase your bread and amazing confectionary for the duration of your stay.
And finally, but certainly not least The Bluebird Cafe at Coniston. Owned by my lovely brother and sister in law. It’s a short drive away from us which takes you along the edge of Coniston Water One of the most beautiful drives in the Lakes. You will be provided with amazing views and food to die for! The cakes are all made by Aunty Lynne which are stupendous ! it’s a destination not to be missed during your stay - PLUS ! As you are a “special customer” - staying at The Woodmans Huts you receive a 10% discount from your total bill.

Hi Everyone, Well we hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Day. We hope you were all able to spend it with the people you love the most, and it was filled with laughter and fun.
It’s been a great year for the Woodmans Huts, we have had Christmas guests in and are busy preparing for the next week with our New Year guests. They are planning to welcome the New Year in having fun in the Artic Cabin, which is twinkling with lights and festivities.

The beautiful village of Cartmel is only ten minutes away from the Woodmans Huts. What a great way to enjoy the lovely countryside around us.

Only 5 miles from The Woodmans Huts Come and enjoy both brilliant places.

Well ! We are into our fourth week without a spot of rain here at “The Woodmans Huts.” Hot sunny days and warm balmy nights.🥂🍷
Our guests have enjoyed being sat in the garden long into the night, it’s even been too hot to light the chiminea. It’s been hotter than being abroad!
... There is no where else as beautiful as “The Lakes” in the sunshine. Long may it last! 😎

Eileen and Muriel decided over their morning coffee that another day in the garden was going to be too hot, so they are off to the beach today.😎 Eileen doesn’t understand why Muriel has to wear her beads to the beach and tells her to take them off, Muriel tells Eileen she wears her beads and lippy every day so today is no exception ! 💄
