Meet our new enthusiastic apprentices on the road to developing themselves and providing BRILLIANT sessions.

Woodmill is hosting a Paddlesport Instructor course that introduces the fundamental skills and coaching behaviours required for developing performance through coaching.
The course focuses on how to coach introductory core skills:
ŌĆóFundamental Paddlesport Skills (Posture, Connectivity, Power Transfer, and Feel)... ŌĆóLifting and carrying ŌĆóLaunching and landing ŌĆóForward paddling ŌĆóReverse paddling ŌĆóStopping (forward and backwards) ŌĆóSteering, turning and manoeuvring ŌĆóMoving sideways ŌĆóPreventing a capsize
Minimum requirements: BC 2 star BC FSRT

We had never been to the centre before but we visited for the open day recently. My 3 year old loved going canoeing and also climbing right to the top of the climbing wall! The staff were lovely and the pricing was good. To top it all off, we won a year's paddlesports membership so we can take him back again!

We had a family activity day today, absolutely loved it! Complete novices and both kids and adults had a brilliant time, lots of fun and lots to do and a fab expert who kept us entertained, all left exhausted! Thank you woodmill we will be back! X

Was a great day grandson and son-in-law enjoyed the activities despite the weather, also great burgers very helpful and friendly staff.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, fun yet professional. They went the extra mile to ensure our hen party was one to remember. We had an amazing day and would like to thank all the staff for making that happen.

The staff were amazing, going above and beyond what was expected to facilitate a fantastic morning of varied and exciting activities! Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

The Activity Day today was really brilliant , I took my daughters and my Granddaughter . We all had a fantastic time, my Granddaughter favourite was the canoeing and bug hunting . All the staff are so friendly and have a great knowledge. Thanks for the experience

My daughters had an amazing day at the Active Adventure Day today. They got to try the new 'Vertical Challenge' and loved it. One even broke the record and got up there in 20 seconds!! Thank you - see you again at Easter!!!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our Discover Archery session yesterday. The instructor, James, was great as he explained the technique clearly, was really friendly and organised a range of tasks and challenges that suited both the adults and the children in the group. The 90 minutes flew by and we got plenty of time to shoot even with 12 in the group.

My 3 year old had a great time at the open day, will definitely go again. He loved the pond dipping and going on the canoes

Just wanna say a massive thankyou to the member of staff that helped me out in my lorry to turn myself around and point me in the right direction to where I needed to be I didnŌĆÖt get his name but he was an absolute life saver and I really appreciated it thankyou ’┐Į’┐Į

Its a great friendly place the instructors are fab, my 10 yr old does the Canoe youth Club and loves it he has learnt so much in such a short space of time.

It is a wonderful place with loads to do for my children, ages 4 to 13. It was a rainy day but still great fun. What made it all the more enjoyable was the lovely attitude of all the staff we met. Not too expensive either. Good work guys!

I went on a week's canoeing course here when I was at Glen Eyre School (now Cantell). This must have been over 45 years ago. There were no wet suits and I was the first to capsize so the others had to practice rescuing me. I remember there being snow on the ground but this seems incredible. All the girls were crying with the cold but I had such a wonderful time, enjoyed the excitement and endurance. I have never forgotten this fantastic experience. Keep up the good work xxx

Had a fab time kayaking for the evening with work colleges, going around the pond and then up and down the river . Activity staff my brilliant webbpaton and fun to be with . Thoroughly recommend this activity to anyone. ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į
