Woodrush Rugby Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Beech as their new Head Coach. Keith joins following six seasons with Alcester, where he lead the side to two promotions and a superb fifth place finish last year on their first season in Midlands West 3 South.

Don’t forget this weekend is the NatWest RugbyForce weekend. This is a RFU supported projected to get club members participating in the up keep of their club. This is our opportunity to give the club a thorough spring clean in preparation for the new season.
We are in real need of volunteers for this weekend. It takes an incredible amount of work to keep the club just ticking over and many of you don’t see the efforts that go on behind the scenes by the same small group of pe...ople. Unfortunately, there are times when that small group of people cannot not do it all by themselves and this weekend is one of those times. So please come and help us keep the club we all love so much in good working order. Even if you can only spare an hour or two, that’s great. As they say, many hands make light work.
As a thank you for donating your time, there will be free bacon sarnies on Saturday morning. We are also hoping to put on a barbecue (weather permitting) and a little rounders tournament ( see Georgia Hussey to enter a team). And of course the England match will be on.

Woodrush seek new head coach
Midlands Three West South club Woodrush are seeking a new Head Coach.
Woodrush are an ambitious organization with a successful junior section and a strong senior section fielding two senior teams most Saturdays as well as an Under-18s Colts team and an enthusiastic and burgeoning Women’s team.
... Woodrush will be continuing to play in league Midlands Three West South next season and, after two successful years under their previous Head Coach, Dan Lavander who has now been promoted to the key role of Director of Rugby, are now seeking a new appointment to the position.
In accordance with the club’s three-year development plan Woodrush wish to continue to develop their pool of young players and challenge for promotion to Midlands Two. The club is currently investing circa £300k in new training facilities with a view to improving its playing status in league rugby.
They are looking for a Head Coach with similar ambitions and with an emphasis on the development of a predominantly young but very talented squad.
The Head Coach will have principal responsibility for coaching and match preparation of the senior men’s squad and may also be an integral member of the senior playing team. Player development will be an essential part of the required skill base as the club seeks to maintain and develop a sustainable player development strategy.
A minimum of two years experience coaching senior rugby – and performing to a high standard – is essential along with a minimum RFU Level Two Coaching Award.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about working in a team / club environment and continually improving their coaching skills and the club will be prepared to support and promote this.
Remuneration will be by negotiation.

Tomorrow as we say goodbye to our 2nd Team Pitch, we begin the next phase of our development.
Our 2nd team pitch will be dug up, straighten (no more running sideways), have proper drainage put in and re-sown. Once completed, new floodlights will be erected to cover both First and Second Team pitches and finally we will be extending the car park to cope with our growing Senior, Women’s and Juniors sections.
... Weather dependant, we will be opening our new pitch in November!
