Woofers Doggy Hotel Description

Hello visitor,

Thank you for visiting this page. : -)

As an animal lover I had spent many years in a job and industry I was not enjoying and decided it was time to do something that I am extremely passionate about and that I know will be helping people and their pets.

Here is a little background about me and how animals have featured as a massive part of my world.

As a family we have always been in the company of animals and in particular doggies, whether it be our Afghan Hound Bentley as a child and then our black Labrador called Bruno into my teenage years, my Nanna's Beagle called Muffin and in recent years my friends German Shepherd and my parents rescue Jack Russell /Chihuahua cross called Casper.

I have also had 10 Guinea Pigs, 2 Hamsters and 2 Rabbits over the years as well as spending lots of time playing and having cuddles with family members cats.

I also worked at a Horse Riding stables at weekends for many years where I mucked out the stables, groomed the horses and prepared them for their next lesson bookings. Feeding the cats and dogs who lived at the stables and taking the dogs for long walks across the fields of Colne Engaine was all part of the fun of the job. : -)

Casper who lives next door to me now at my parents (and spends many a night staying over mine for snuggles on the bed) was extremely nervous when we collected him from the rescue centre and I remember cuddling him on my lap in the car the whole way home to try to stop him shaking with fear. My mum, dad and I worked together with him constantly for several months to build his confidence and trust in us as initially every time we walked in the room he ran away and hid under the kitchen table cowering down with fear, shaking from head to toe. When he became more confident with us and he first wagged his tail at us it was such a heart warming moment. A sign that he was for that moment feeling happy. We continued to work with him and we gradually then introduced the rest of the family into his world.
He is now a very confident happy little chap who is full of life and personality with the people he knows but he is still wary of new people who come into his life.

When the whole family had to go away overnight we had massive concerns about where he would stay and how it would affect him. We know kennels was an absolute no as he didn't cope in them at the rescue centre and we didn't want to take him back to that place in his head. We found a lady who ran doggy boarding from her home and let us visit with him first a few times for him to get to know her. He came back from his stay happy and confident, the same as when we left him.

Its with this situation in mind that I decided to start my own Doggy Hotel with help and guidance from this same lady. But I know how much all pets mean to people, having had not just doggies over the years. They are a part of the family so I am offering feeding services to other animals as well to try to help as many people and their furry friends as i can.

I can honestly say I have never known a job be so rewarding. Looking after someones beautiful pet as if it were my own and spending time with doggies the whole time they are here to stay with me, to ensure they are relaxed, happy and confident. I want to give people the same peace of mind that we had when parting with their beloved pets for a holiday or business trip.

I am fully insured and am more than happy to come and visit initially to be shown the ropes for pet feeding as part of the service and I am also more than happy for doggies to come and have pre-visits with me to get to know me and this will be at no cost to you.

If you would like to know more about my services then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Love Nessa xx
