Woolpack Inn - Hardknott Bar & Cafe

Wonderful pub for everything from stopping for a quick bite to eat or drink to gorgeous steak served on a lava rock for you to finish off to your liking. Pizzas are great too a large projector screen showing sports, definatly something for everyone here.

Great location, fab dog friendly place. Excellent food. A most enjoyable stay.

Stayed at the Woolpack Inn last night.I highly recommend this place..Lovely place in a great location.very welcoming staff...Real nice cozy room,overlooking the fells,very clean..plus major bonus,its a dog friendly place,so my dog could stay with me,they also have a gorgeous friendly dog of their own 'Woolly'..
Had a lovely cooked breakfast,or continental if u prefer..
Cant wait to return for longer..

Very nice place that caters for all ages, felt very welcome on arrival and friendly, helpful staff. Food menu was good with kids menu. Only problem was condition of mens toilets when I took my 3 year old they were a bit disgusting to say the least but overall a good place to stop off for a refreshment/chill after doing the hardknott pass!

Fantastic food, great cider collection, very helpful staff. Stopped for something to eat after some climbing at the top of wrynose pass and discovered that had torn a tyre. As I don't have a spare I needed to call for rescue but I had no signal. The staff were kind enough to let me borrow their phone to call the recovery service and I enjoyed a drink and a lovely pizza while I awaited my knight in a shining tow truck.

Great beer and good woodoven pizza after a long day on the falls. Friendly service too.

Food was great, however service was slow and the atmosphere did not feel friendly and welcoming.
This is only based on a single visit in off peak hours and may not be representative of what would be experienced when busy and fully staffed.

Great location good selection of beer. We went for the cider and sausage festival which had a good selection of cider But to wait half hour for 1 sausage to be cooked!! Really!! God help anyone who is hungry!!
