Worcestershire Resource Exchange

About Worcestershire Resource Exchange

Worcestershire Resource Exchange is a creative reuse project that rescues exciting and unusual materials from local industry and makes them available to its members. Based in Worcester, it provides inspirational and affordable resources whilst reducing the amount of business waste going to landfill. WRE is a project of the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, an environmental charity established in 1998 by the former chairman of Worcester Heat systems, Mr Cecil Duckworth OBE. WRE helps achieve the charities objectives through its environmental education, information, volunteering opportunities and provision of low cost resources to the local community. WRE was officially launched in 2003 and now has over 1, 600 members using its resources. We couldn't exist without local businesses! A huge amount of our materials come from local businesses and manufacturers. We offer a regular, free collection service in return for reusable, non-hazardous waste.
